  • A brief introduction to the Teenage Engineering Pocket Operator PO-16 Factory synthesizer.

Addendum: You can turn on a click-track (metronome) by pressing Function + BPM. This cycles through sync modes, which include an audible sync-click on the beat. There are 6 sync modes, 0 being the one you will want to return to when you're ready to play without a click again.
Sorry about the strange noises in the VO, still getting used to my new lav microphone.

@@Hipnolabia He could've bought it used without the instructions. These things are going to be people's entry into synths. What might be obvious to you might not be for some. Not a huge deal but I thought it was a point worth mentioning.
      edit
Oh, so not to make a big deal out of this but I just learned something that's relevant to this discussion. The instructions are on the back of the device and are intentionally a bit vague and they end with the sentence "God gives the nuts but does not crack them." So it seems like they want it to be more of an exploration than a method for making beats/sequences etc. Which makes sense for what it is.

Sound 16 is the drumkit. Every button in sound 16 is a different sound. You can change it by pressing and holding an activated step in sequencer mode and turning Knob A! The Kickdrum (d08) seems to be the default with mine too...
