    Hej Johan,
You probably don't know me, but I know your father Göran very well from the time we both studied with Per-Olof Johnson at the Danish Royal Academy of Music back in the 70's. I am so happy to hear and see you are carrying the classical guitar playing in your family forward! And so beautifully too!
    Thank you! Hälsa Göran från,
    Per-Olov i Köpenhamn

      Hallå Per-Olov!
Tack för att du skriver and thank you for your kind words! I do know you, through your many great youtube videos, many beautiful arrangements and great guitar playing! And of course through "our" dear luthier Per Hallgren!

      Peo

I like the somber simplicity of this arrangement. The melody is apparent the whole time, and there aren't any unnecessary ornamentations. Have you ever heard the Francis Cutting arrangement of Greensleeves from the Renaissance? Well played! 👏

Thank you! Yes, The Francis cutting variation is really nice! Greensleeves is a very interesting piece since there are so many variations, versions and arrangement of it. It was quiet tricky to decide on a final melody when I did my arrangement because it differs quiet alot depending on which version you listen to!

I have seen all of your films because of your father's notice underneath his new film today
From the early 1970's onward, your father was an inspiration to many of us in the U.S.. This should be a lesson to you, that in life...we are NEVER given the following choices...however, if we are ever given the choices to "inherit money" - - -OR inherit a superior hereditary intelligence and parents who raised us well.......WE ALWAYS GO FOR THE HIGH I.Q. and coming from a "good family" and having been raised well. :) :) You (and your sister) are a testament to your parent's "true success" in life. :) And you can tell him I said so ! :).
    Bravo, to you. :). Antoine

this is a good start for a beginner, probably it could be even first song you want to play. Simple and beautiful.
As a little request, can you write your level of complexity of the song in the description? under the video?

It's a very good point and I've thought about it alot... The reason why I don't do it is that some tunes can be difficult to some players and easy for other players of the same "skill level". All depending on what they have played before, their left/right hand technique, ability to play bar chords etc etc...
My advice is just to try and play it. And if the piece is to hard you can pause it for some time and revisit it later or/and leave a comment on what bar you find hard and I'll be most happy to help! Chance's are other players struggles with the same place and together we can work it out 😊🎵👍

@@johansollscher what do you think about playing classical pieces on acoustic (metal strings) guitar? The metal sound is really annoying for me, so I lower the tone by half and it sounds better. Did you face this problem?

@@ilyasbutaev3830 Sounds like a good solution to tune down a semitone! I use quiet light guage strings when I play steelstring guitar to get a mellower sound.
