MAJOR SPOILERS: The only thing predictable about this show is that when they say hundreds of people are going to die, they always mean it; The Culling, the battle in the Season 1 finale, The Ark landing, the missile attack, Mount Weather, the Grounder army in Season 3, The City Of Light, and the oil rig are all examples of this.

Wanheda idk, cuz idk how but I predicted everything that happened in the show, it was sooo weird, maybe I watch too many shows to know these plot twists,
i think the only show i saw that is more unpredictable then the 100 is got
The 100 was good to me from the beginning, but I think S1ep4 is about the point where I was like "okay, binge-watching the rest, can't help it." And then S2 knocked it out of the park and put me in the true fan category.

Took me to season 3 to properly get hooked, but it started to grow on me towards the end of season 2. First couple seasons were rough though, because of the teen drama format, which they unfortunately continued with the soundtrack for the second season. But especially season 1, especially the first half, was really hard. First few episodes I cringed so hard... If I didn't read that it gets better and leaves this teen drama garbage behind then I would've quit after the first episode. Probably the fault of the TV network trying to direct this show into the ground since they're known for making teen dramas. Would've been interesting to see how maybe HBO would've handled the adaption instead. I think Alycia probably was a good motivator to continue watching early on too.

I haven't seen the pilot in ages. LOOK HOW CLEAN AND SMILING THEY ARE! lol... pretty much as many smiles in the pilot as in the rest of the series so far. Anyway, the showrunner himself has said he would go back and redo the first two episodes to fit better with the feel of the rest of the show. Trust me, it gets a lot less cheesy and a lot more dark and interesting very soon. In most ways it's not like a typical CW show.

Considered Chaos I completely disagree. Season 3 was the worst-written season. The AI storyline was a convoluted mess. People like it because of Clexa. Seasons 2 and 4 are the best

Ok, the 100 starts as this generic teen drama thing. I almost didn't watch further than the first episode, but I did because I was bored.. And holy hell, it gets so good around the 3-4 episode mark.

Its actually gotten better and better with every season unlike the Flash which got worse with every season. Thats why I always say, these guys can't tell a good show if it hit them in the face. The show is far from predictable.
Sounds like you guys were informed. I originally tried to watch this show and tuned out quick. Went back to it later after it found its magic.
Without spoiling anything, what makes this show great is when it starts dealing with impossible choices. In any other show when given a decision that is a moral quandary, there would be a third decision that saves the day at the last second. The 100 excels at showing life on Earth SUCKS. And there are no good decisions.
Plus Wanheda is a TOTAL BADASS!!!! ;)

I love this show with my whole heart guys. You will hate Bellamy at first but then he will be your favorite.
With season 4 well under way looking at this; WOW the characters are happy in here and so different from what they will be.

You need to get to at least episode 5 or 6. The show starts off super cringy, and i feel like the writers and producers realized this, because the writing gets better the actors improve a lot and they ditch the teeny drama vibe that the first episode has. The show is actually really good. It is in my top five shows, also you know the show must not be total shit, if it is going on to its 5th season.
I believe the writers actually did this on purpose to sell the show on CW. Like yeah we will give you the edgy teen drama with romance and sweet songs and what the cool kids like nowadays. To get the suits and their polls aboard to fund them. Then switched tone midseason and did what they actually wanted to tell and it became a hit. (suits rarely know a good show or concept for a good show)
I like seeing you speculate, and pointing out "flaws" of this episode that will be answered later - especially the part where you're like "they shouldn't have send only kids"... oh you'll see ;) There is some kind of twisted - and that's where the show IS interesting - explanation as to why there are only kids, no doctor, no nothing to actually help them. Just remember they're "criminals" whom they planned to kill anyway. On the Ark, they're basically a waste of valuable ressources... I would have totally took my bracelet off tbh.
As for english, it's actually been explained but outside of the show, but since they've been in space for almost a hundred years, it's normal they normalized the languages once united in one station, for practical reasons.
(btw, Bellamy is/was a "good teenager", he never ended up in prison)
it gets better as time goes on, I stopped watching after episode 2 but than binged watched it on Netflix now its one of my favorite shows!
I binged watched seasons 1-3 then got caught up and now I'm episode by episode for season 4. I recommend you all watching it on your own without the pressure of reacting for a while and then you will understand why everyone loves it so much. The story is amazing, the character development is some of the best I've ever seen, and they really get imtense. Beware, don't get attached to any characters. They love mass murder and will kill anyone they please. I don't care if you react but you should most definitely watch this crazy ass show.

I've been waiting for this lol The 100 has got to be my favorite show. I have to say the 1st season is alright, the 2nd season has been the best along with the 4th so far. Season 3 was ehh. It's a great show to have discussions about and I hope to see you guys react to more!

You should rewatch season three again and this time look at it as what it really was a war season. What they did was take a mirror and reflected it to us the aspects of war.

I was the same at the start of this series, but honestly after the first few episodes they've all grown as actors and it gets very very good, one of the best shows I've seen. Please give it a chance it gets better

Come on, everyone says so, you have to watch the rest. It's so different from the first episode! There, it was the teenagers who felt free for the first time and then, inevitably, they do anything. But when they realize that they must take responsibility because they are not alone on earth, everything will accelerate and become addicted. What I like most about this series is that we quickly become attached to the characters and we are afraid for their lives because, yes, in the 100, everybody can die, we already have Made understand by killing many of the main characters. And besides, the scenes of the dead (or execution for some if you see who I'm talking about) are extraordinary and so sad and so moving! Well, I stop there because I know I could praise the merits of this series for hours, so I love it! ♥
Amazing show. It's great throughout, but it starts really picking up at the end of episode 3 of season 1 and doesn't slow down from there. You guys should definitely watch the whole show and react!!
Honestly, please don't judge this show from the pilot. It's nowhere near the best of the series and the first few episodes really serve as opening up the story and laying out how things work on the ground. It gets SO good.

Skillz I've tried watching this show believe me i love anything that's got anything to do with space,but I just about made it through season 1 even then tried season 2. its too dramatic for me' it's twilight in a wierd apocalyptic setting.
You have to keep watching it, Its crazy how good it gets! And looking back at these first episodes it doesnt even seem like the same series lol

If you get through the first few episodes you get addicted, fast. Season 2 is really where it's at though. I also cried at the season 3 mid season finale, the first time I ever cried over a tv character. It has its corny moments, but overall it's highly underrated.

I would recommend for you to keep watching, it really is worth it. After a while you won't even recognize some characters, there's so much growth.

I THINK I discovered this show back around 2015 (when it was on its third season I think), when I saw the commercials for it while watching the CW channel... Then when I was at Best Buy one day I came across the first season dvd & I bought it-and the rest is history!!! 😁 I was hooked! Especially during the second season

If the show title was spelt "the hundred" then it would be indisputable. But it's not.
They do not, and never will, determine how the number "100" is pronounced. So no, it isn't indisputable. But if you want to talk about the show in particular then watch the pilot all the way through (not just the highlights) and tell me how that number is pronounced by every character in the show.
No, actually.The only reason they pronounce it that way is because they're American. For some reason, most Americans don't say it the correct way (Bit of a generalisation, I should clarify that's in my personal experience). The actors that play Bellamy and Clarke are Australian, and they say "The One Hundred" and only clarify when people look confused (as if it's that confusing, honestly). Grammatically, it *should* be "The One Hundred", because "hundred" by itself isn't a number. If you see "100", you don't say "hundred", you say " *a* hundred". The "a" is interchangeable with "1". If you take away the "a", you have to put the "1" otherwise *it. is. not. a. number.* But, as Richard Strong said, it's a show, so people can pronounce it however the hell they want. But I find it hilarious that Richard Strong is actually throwing you a bone by saying that and you're still being hardheaded about it. If it was written out as "The Hundred", then maybe you'd have a leg to stand on. But it's not. Do you know why? Because, contrary to what you clearly believe, the showrunners didn't create it: it's based on a book, and the author, someone who's made a living out of literature and language, knows that "The Hundred" isn't a number, and had she written it out that way, she might as well have said they sent "The Qquyodrtoo" down to Earth: as far as numerical value goes, they mean the same thing: absolutely nothing.
“Hundred” isn’t a number. “hundred” represents the ‘-00′ in ‘100′. Specifying *how many* hundred is sort of crucial. You either have to say “one hundred” or “a hundred”. For example: “The fact that this point was failing to land made me want to kill myself in *a hundred* different ways, so I opted to distract myself with *one hundred* other things that nobody really cares about.”

OH!!! You're watching THE100!!! Keep watching, it gets better and better. The first 3 or 4 episodes are kinda bad but then it amazing. You can watch some Size reels (Size reel S3 doesn't spoil that much I think) to see how good it is. Or you can watch the finales because they're good (Every finales has a part 1 and 2). Don't pay attention to those who says it shit after 3x7, they angry bcause a secondary character died. A lot of characters die in this show, is like TWD/GOT in that aspect too. Critics love the show. The teen love story will end soon. I started like all of you, I've watched the first episode and then didn't. Then when the finale came I watched the entire 1st season and it was so good! Is like my #1 show. #KeepWatchingNormies!

Please watch up to episode 3. It really doesn't get good until episode 3, and from then on it's great. The first two episodes just feel like Lost with teenagers, but that's really not what it is.

I feel like it's hard to judge a show based on the pilot, the 100 is really damn good and is up there with game of thrones and the walking dead, you should stick with it because it gets much better

I promise if you keep watching you won't be disappointed! The first season isn't the best, but when you get to season two, things get crazy and amazing!! You just have to stick to it!

Answering these questions in the least spoilery way possible. It's pretty funny though because these are the same questions asked in the books by some of the characters:
1) The English? I think it's because the first station to unite the Ark was American or something. IDK
2) This was explained well in the books, but since they're actually considered "failed teen novels," I HIGHLY don't recommend you read them. They suck. Anyway, many of the members of the 100 knew each other before they got imprisoned, and sometimes could hang out in the Skybox despite being imprisoned (only Clarke was put in solitary confinement, so I assume the others had free range or some shit). So Murphy--the guy who knocked Wells over--was already friends with some of those other guys. They'd just stuck together when they landed I guess, and were like "screw it, let's get some sticks."
3) Since all the other kids were locked up for doing dumb stuff like stealing rations or downloading music off the internet, I guess they kinda just sit back and wait for help. THIS IS KIND OF A SPOILER: but there is a future episode where Clarke goes hunting with this one kid who starts talking about how he hasn't really gotten a chance to hang out with her or the rest of the core group.
4) About the other survivors on the Ground, you guys will find out later and it's a pretty cool mythology that they have.
5) Yes, there are other teenagers on the Ark but they're kind of like the background characters in the 100; most of them show up for a second but then never show up again. If you keep watching the show, however, a new, badass character will be introduced. And for people who are caught up to season 4, RILEY!!!!!!!!!!!
*But seriously, you guys should give this show another chance. It's pretty damn good (despite its cheesy writing and those times where you can go a season or two hating a character and then loving them for the rest of the series, and vice versa), and gets especially better midway through this season.
One of the best shows ever. You really should've stuck with it since it starts to get really great in the second half of season 1 and especially season 2.
Honestly, the first couple episodes of season 1 are not that great and I almost quit watching but it gets so much better. You just have to push through the first couple episodes!

When I first watched 100 I was dying laughing because of the acting and I stopped watching 10 minutes in but I came back like a week later and binged all month to finish this series. I WAS HOOKED

When I watched the first episode I was like: "meh, not really a good show". But oh my god, I finished all of the available episodes in 3 days..... It was addicting after a couple of episodes trust me!
