If anything adding a barrier on the turrets would be pretty cool, and also it having more damage. Her primary range really needs to be increased as well.
Wait a minute I love your idea, but similar to your idea what if Symm had a barrier device like her teleporter(could even throwback look like the shield generator device and when she could throw barriers at enemies in Overwatch 1) to set up in front of her kind of like a Rein shield. It could increase her survivability in choke points and give Symm more of a chance to charge up her beam and not die because of some random attack flying at you, especially if you don’t have a shield tank. If the devs don’t give her damage how about survivability.

As a Sym main seeing what her damage is compared to some of the other dos heroes now makes me sad, I wish her turrets just had more health and did more damage…😭

My personal problem with sym is she takes to long to kill with and she's like the only projectile(could be more) hero that doesn't have a headshot crit it's shitty
If Experimental patches were still a thing, and I was asked to brainstorm stuff to try out on Sym, here's what I'd do: -Increase turret Health to 40, to match the new increased global melee damage -Give her a max of 4 turrets -Make the turrets zap the Nearest players instead of sticking to the first one they see -Increase the slow to 20%, but make it so the slows don't stack -Increase Orb direct hit damage to 60 (for a total of 110 damage) -Increase Orb charge rate to 0.8 seconds for full charge Basically, 4 spread out turrets can act as a nearly team-wide debuffer, slowing everyone down by 20% and applying the DPS passive for 20% less healing. It also slightly increases turret dps, without actually making individual turrets stronger. I'd rather turret use/placement (and landing orbs) get more value, instead of getting value from an increase to her beam damage
The only thing I can say is there is indirect buffs with the right-click hotboxes and the turrets being able to keep up the DPS passive, but it doesn't mean anything without direct changes to make her viable ;~;
Every rework Blizz has done is trash (outside of Orisa but it’s trash because of the sustain). It’s like they look at how some heroes need a rework look at their kit and fix none of the problems they have. They gave Sombra more invis when the f’ing problem was invis. Hog needed to be team centric and they gave him more me me me abilities, he didn’t need to secure kills, he was already doing that. They just don’t know how. Symm went from the most original hero to a washed down version of her old self.
Yeah, Symmetra doesn't feel very impactful this season. Blizzard should revert her turret to 30 dps. I also think they need to give her some buffs mid-season patch. Other changes I would like to see is a longer beam length, faster travel distance to her projectiles, faster charge rate to fire her projectiles, or even 25 extra shield health. She needs help. Please buff. 🙏
im totally new to overwatch and dont really understand the why/how characters get buffed or debuffed with seasons. i alway see "(hero) is so bad this season" but why? whos good? i dont understand lol
ngl it feels like they hate her they just need to give her an extra turret, and make the turrets a lower cooldown also shorter cooldown on TP with a faster activation with also making your beam so much stronger
She feel slow...like very slow to kill anything. I feel like even Mercy can out DPS her since Sym abilities just take forever to pop up or to build up damage....
I mean if you think about it, everyone's head becoming bigger that's an automatic DPS buff. Health pool buff across the board would mean it requires more ammo to kill and Sym has no crits.....
Give me her old turrent damage back and more damage to her beam/projectile shots!
