I don't love the price point, I'm a budget gal, but I have one of each color and bought three of Prom Queen, I think, the pinky coral one. They're so beautiful on the skin, and I love a lip stain that I can apply one handed in the car without a mirror. I was in love with these in 2005-8, but the orange one was my go-to, nobody had an orange/coral stain like that. Then some of the shades were unavailable and I just re-discovered them last year. I need to pick up some more at the next sale. I will say, a little does not go a long way, but it's worth it to have a foolproof lipstain that applies as easy as gloss.
In addition to TheBalm's Stainiacs, I have been loving Flower beauty stains, Saem water tints, Etude esp in the skinny tube with red caps, and the holika holika stains. Affordable stains, esp without heavy gloss added, are easiest to find from K & J beauty companies. I think I prefer western eye makeup and eastern lip & cheek products. I'm finding American style lippies to be too brightly pigmented & too shiny, high gloss lips really just emphasize my uneven skin tone.

I don’t think the tower 28 softies are meant to have a burning sensation. I would reach out to them. Mine has no tingling sensation and is actually really soothing if my lips are dry or irritated
I love this style of video! I’m not much of a “collector” of makeup/skincare/hair care so I’m definitely always into videos that compare and discuss many different options of the same type of product so I can choose the one that’s best for me.
I have the Tower 28 LipSoftie in Blood Orange Vanilla and I love it! It’s not grainy or patchy and I don’t feel any burning sensation or tingling at all, so I’m not sure why you do or what would cause this as they are not advertised as being plumping. Honestly, the only thing I don’t like about it is the applicator, which I find really bulky.
So glad you love it! I might have been having a reaction to something in it. I just looked at reviews and saw a lot of other complaints about graininess though- potentially a production issue with certain batches?

Love Ole Henriksen!! I bought the clear first and then got their holiday, berry color/jam something. LOVE THEM BOTH!! So happy they came out with more color. I need no other lip stuff. Oddly doesn't tingle for me at all and I am unable to use some of the plumping lip glosses

I loooove the shade of the mauvey-rose, i found something similar for blush, the LA Girl velvet stick in Velour. I am excited, if overwhelmed, to realize how many completely new makeup shades are coming out. I think 24/25 will be transitional style year, moving into cooler tones, and more cool-warm combo shades, with 25/26 really being the first year of a new "trend decade." Im still going to wear mostly warms, but it's so exciting whenever a trend decade turns over! With the geographic trend center for beauty moving to Asia, it will be interesting to see how much western beauty changes to align with global economic changes.

I have the tower 28 balm in clear and the ole Henrikson. You mention that both tingled for you and I feel absolutely 0 tingling. My favorite by far is the Ole Henrikson and I really hope they come out with more shades. They had a limited edition one (before they released these) during Christmas 2023 that was the most beautiful cool tone plum.
I have really sensitive lips and am allergic to most lip balms. The summer Fridays one especially does absolutely nothing for me except make my lips even drier once it wears off. The Tower 28 lip balms are my favorite new balms! They actually feel nourishing on my lips and don’t feel grainy at all. There is a plumping effect but all I noticed was my lips felt warmer for the first few minutes of wearing it, no burning at all, and I’m pretty sensitive. I also own it in multiple shades and felt they were consistent. Plus the wear time on it is comparable it Aquaphor. I definitely think it’s still worth a try if you were interested in trying them out. Sad Abby didn’t have the same experience but some products work for people and some don’t.
As a mature 49 yo woman I prefer the CT lipsticks that you reviewed 1st great colors the pigment and shine it’s everything I love in a lipstick ❤I pair them with a medium nude matt lipliner with one swipe on my bottom lip and blend 👍 perfection !

Gosh!! I hate lip oils and lipgloss. It always look messy during the application and the covering is never uniform. I tried so much in the past to convince myself to love them like people do but I gave up and it confirms it even more with this video. However, the lipsticks are beautiful. I love the creamy formulas because you don't end up with a crispy dry look after an hour. Amazing work! 😊

I tried an overnight lip serum that I think you'll like. Or maybe you have tried it. It's at Walmart. b.fresh got that pillow pout overnight lip serum in very vanilla. I love it and it's like 4 dollars. Love you Abbey.
Ive become a big Ole H fan, but the balm is a bit high priced for me. However, the Lanolips tinted balms are about half the price (still spendy to me, tbh), and have been fabulous this winter. They dont have spf for US, but other countries can get them with sunscreen (FDA pls update our rules so we can join the dang world in using the good sunscreen!) It is extremely cold & dry where I live, which hits my face hard, & when temps drop below 10°F, I always use a protective blush - either a lanolips shade (the rose gold is gorgeous!) or the tarte maracuja blush (boxycharm). My cheeks have really improved & no chapping at all!

I know you don't like luxe beauty but the new guerlain lip oils are incredible. It feels like a pillow on the lip, doesn't run down the chin, lasts for at least 3 hours before I feel like I need more, and lightly stains and evenly wears. I was really impressed and think you would really enjoy them!

I've been seeing all these new launches so I was so excited to see your video pop up! Not a new launch by any means, but the Almay lipsticks are actually really nice. They're not longwearing bit they're really creamy and comfortable, have a nice bit not overwhelming scent, and are just nice for a quick bit of color. (Especially if you're alwaysin a hurry to get out the door like I am!) Even though they're creamy, I dont really have a problem with them smearing and they dont get patchy as they wear down. They're not my top formula but they're a cheap option that still looks nice.

Love this type of video! Please make more of these with different categories as the video topics, one category per video. I've tried the Summer Fridays lip butter balm in Birthday Cake and i love it! Was thinking about picking up the Haus Labs hybrid lip glaze, but after watching your review, I will probably pass. The applicator wand/doe foot is so important to me, I would rather something like the Fenty lip oils which have a nice large doe foot and are my favorite lip product as of right now.
I´m happy you mentioned the strong smell of the Ole Henrikson one. Because for me it´s so strong that I won´t buy it again. Which is such a shame because the formula and colour is amazing! (I have the plane one, no smell, but also no colour... and it would be perfect for Summer so I´m bummed)
I have all four of the Tower 28 Lip Softies and enjoying them. I haven’t experienced any tingling, burning or patchiness. I’m using them at my desk right now to keep my lips hydrated and shiny. Are they the best, no. I won’t repurchase most of the shades except for Ube and maybe Watermelon or Dulce de leche. I’m waiting for my order of the new Summer Friday birthday cake but I’m sure I’ll like it as I love all their lip balms.
For the tower 28 one, the don’t burn on my lips or on any of my friends. You may have gotten a bad batch or most likely your allergic to something. I personally loveee it. It looks nice and feels nice and the packaging is cute too. It’s relatively affordable (for sephora) I have the pink one and i use it all the time. It’s not a plumping lippy or anything so I hope you’re fine Hope this helps!❤ love your videos

I think the Kaja lip stain (the one with the keychain) is the best stain at Sephora. Probably better J and K beauty ones and I feel it's a bit overpriced for how much you get but it wears evenly and doesn't settle into lines like so many seem to.

I love love love the olehenriksen ones! I always finish it off with a light coat of the elf lip oil 😭😂 it keeps it from feeling tacky and since the oils are light weight they don’t add a thick layer
Am I the only one who doesn’t find the OleHenricksen lip balm to be super drying? I have the Strawberry Sorbet like Abbey and I don’t notice much fragrance either. Maybe I should try another in case I received a bad one. Great comparison video!!

The applicator wand/doe foot is so important to me, I would rather something like the Fenty lip oils which have a nice large doe foot and are my favorite lip product as of right now.
I´m happy you mentioned the strong smell of the Ole Henrikson one. Because for me it´s so strong that I won´t buy it again. Which is such a shame because the formula and colour is amazing! (I have the plane one, no smell, but also no colour... and it would be perfect for Summer so I´m bummed)
I have all four of the Tower 28 Lip Softies and enjoying them. I haven’t experienced any tingling, burning or patchiness. I’m using them at my desk right now to keep my lips hydrated and shiny. Are they the best, no. I won’t repurchase most of the shades except for Ube and maybe Watermelon or Dulce de leche. I’m waiting for my order of the new Summer Friday birthday cake but I’m sure I’ll like it as I love all their lip balms.
Definitely prefer comparing similar products rather then various items
For the tower 28 one, the don’t burn on my lips or on any of my friends. You may have gotten a bad batch or most likely your allergic to something. I personally loveee it. It looks nice and feels nice and the packaging is cute too. It’s relatively affordable (for sephora) I have the pink one and i use it all the time. It’s not a plumping lippy or anything so I hope you’re fine Hope this helps!❤ love your videos

I think the Kaja lip stain (the one with the keychain) is the best stain at Sephora. Probably better J and K beauty ones and I feel it's a bit overpriced for how much you get but it wears evenly and doesn't settle into lines like so many seem to.

I love love love the olehenriksen ones! I always finish it off with a light coat of the elf lip oil 😭😂 it keeps it from feeling tacky and since the oils are light weight they don’t add a thick layer
Am I the only one who doesn’t find the OleHenricksen lip balm to be super drying? I have the Strawberry Sorbet like Abbey and I don’t notice much fragrance either. Maybe I should try another in case I received a bad one. Great comparison video!!
