I grew up in the late 80's/90's and watched NFL football every week with my dad. My favorite games were the snowy/rainy ones. I don't know why, but they made me so happy. I felt for the players, but it was just so exciting to watch.
I was at that Bills game. Stayed through OT. Best game I've went to yet. LET'S GO BUFFALO!

They'd laid new turf down - then Pitt hosted a NCAA game that Saturday. Then Sunday came - along with a monsoon. That turf could not have been a worse surface to play on...

Great video I have always loved weather games, so many that I have not seen. The tech that goes into stadium construction now is amazing especially rain funneling. If you do another episode like this I’d like to see a mid 80s MNF Broncos vs Packers. Opening kickoff Packers fumble taken immediately for TD and after that TD and kickoff fumble for immediately taken for TD the game was like a minute in with Packers down 14 to 0.

Buffalo definitely does the best in that freezing snow they are so used to it. We live not too far from there and my parents were at what is still the coldest game on record and only stayed, while many filed out, because they thought ahead and layered until it was awkward to walk, then brought blankets

A little surprised that the “Freezer Bowl” in the 1981 AFC championship game between the Chargers and Bengals wasn’t on here. The air temperature was -9 degrees Fahrenheit but with the wind chill it was -37.
The Redskins vs 49ers game in 2019 was the last crazy one I actually watched that was a monsoon players were slip and sliding everywhere!
That one game with the Steelers and ??? In the rain looked like a hurricane.
I was at that Monday night game against the dolphins. They had a college game the night before in the rain and decided to put another layer of sod on top of it. Needless to say it didnt work and the ball would just stick in the mud when kicked. Steelers won 3-0 with a field goal at about 17 seconds left.
1998. Seattle Seahawks at Kansas City Chiefs. One of the craziest rainy games I have ever seen. Water was cascading out of the stands and the benches were floating on the field. I don't know why more people don't remember this game, it was nationally televised.
