Nik was acting like a metalhead trying to introduce his non metal friends into heavy music. You dig it, but you know it's too heavy for them. I've been there.

Mark is a metalhead though but more old-skool. Dude's a massive Celtic Frost fan which just as heavy, if not heavier, than this. Though his writing may not reflect it that much.
I mean, one of tremontis favourite band is Celtic frost and dude has said in old interviews he's a big black metal fan. I think what you're picking up on is Niks nervousness. Feels like he's got to say more instead of letting the vibe flow. Mark is a super laid back dude and Nik was probably a wee bit terrified of having him on. He's kinda a big deal y'know?

I love how nonchalant Mark is. He's such a down to earth guy lol. I met him and Myles when I seen Alter Bridge in 2014, he always seems relaxed. Love it.

The whole album was heavier than I expected, and I was a huge fan of das monster and der tag an dem die welt, but thought they just sounded like discount Rammstein after tobi left.
But now tobi is back and the world is right again. I'm just sad that an ex gf of mine who introduced me to them back in '09 didn't make it long enough to see them make sick nasty fire music again.

I found WBTBWB in the same way I'm guessing a lot of people did. Eskimo Callboy "Hypa Hypa", right? I've been going down a EC and WBTBWB rabbit hole, and I couldn't be happier. I've never been much for deathcore (no, I'm not an anti-deathcore guy like many are just because) but damn it, this band is getting me into that genre. Their music is super heavy, the vocals range from the low dirty growls to the higher pitched metal vocalist registers, and they don't take themselves too seriously. I'm a huge fan of them now (as of about a couple weeks ago) and can't wait to hear more. Big fan of your channel and your reactions.
I sorta found out about them that way except it was after Tank the Tech did his reaction to Eskimo Callboy he mentioned it reminded him of We Butter the Bread with Butter. That was almost a year before WBTBWB put out their version of Hypa Hypa.

Mark was a huge reason I picked up the guitar back in the late '90s. He's an awesome guy and an amazing songwriter. Sadly he is still and always has been incredibly underrated.
