G’job Ethan, looks like the ole girl is getting close to ready to roll👍🏻you’re probably right about the quote from IH, that had to be price per pair. Stay safe and keep em comin OFB🇺🇸💪🏻🇺🇸
@@Oliver66FarmBoy Mine are all cast iron but one. I got four 5 tonners & two 10 tons. yeah they can be awkward but I've lifted entire houses with just 2 & the blade on Dad's old D8 when the lift cable snapped & we had to chain it up to get it home.
Case IH guys always complain about Deere being so expensive, but in reality Case IH is the expensive one. I needed a seal for a 656 on the 3pt linkage and IH wanted 85 bucks and I sourced it through a supply house for 7/8 bucks.
Hell of a good video Ethan, on those John deer opening disks you probably should have checked them to make sure they were straight. We just did our 4 planters and we had 30 out of 150 fail. Just food for thought for yeah.
You should really replace the main transport wheel bearings. They don’t give much warning and will absolutely wreck your day. You will have to calibrate the sensor1 to the monitor and maintain 12v. That is the best gps sensor for the money. We run it with are White planter.
Ah springtime on the farm: expenses, expenses, expenses. On the other hand there's also lots of work. Nothing like being broke and tired with no end in sight, eh?
@@Oliver66FarmBoy we changed a lot of tractors from using 6volt Batteries to 12 volt batteries cause 6volt batteries are getting hard to find all you have to do is put in 2 12 volt batteries and put aground cable from negative post on both batteries to the tractor frame then put a positive cable from each battery positive post to the starter bolt and the tractor will start easier then if you need 12 volt power supply you can hook to either battery

We have Furrow Cruisers on our White corn planter and really like them in our no-till operation. Works well when we do plant in conventional tillage.
We got copperhead poly furrow cruisers on our 8222 and love them
She'll be new before long Farm Boy!
Ethan, good getting that planner taken care of so when you're ready to start planning you're ready to go 🙂 thanks Michael
That’s the plant.
Them railway jacks are handier than a second set of nuts on prom night! I got 6 of them, almost indestructible.
Luckily these are the aluminum ones. The cast iron ones suck to move around.

Interesting video. There is so much more to it other than just go! Nice work.
For sure.
Thanks for the video I enjoyed it. After watching you for some time now I have noticed that farming is very expensive. Larry
Could be worse.
I'm planning on replacing the seed openers on my 12 row John Deere planter next year. It's definitely not a job i'm looking forward to.
Awesome job, looks great.
It's always a nice feeling putting new tires on something that needs em, just sucks paying for them
Better than blowing a tire on the road.

Those ground speed sensors were getting good reports, looking forward to seeing it in action.
Me to.
Looking good Ethan getting things ready for p l anting.
I would recomend checking your parralell arm bushings for wear, and/or tighten them. They are fairly inexpensive from Agco if they need replaced.
I already have.
@@Oliver66FarmBoy 👍
I run yetter twisters spike wheels in my planter and I am very happy with them
Good to know.
I run the furrow cruisers and love them. I have had them on my planter for the last 5 years and im all conventional till
I want something more aggressive.
@@Oliver66FarmBoy there is so many different options now it is crazy
Closing wheels by Yetter,,
Twisters! I just put them on.

That’s way to many seed openers to change.
@Oliver66FarmBoy we rebuilt them from the ground up Essentially 🤣 they see a lot of acres

Yetter Twisters, there is a left and right specific wheel. I’d suggest running both rather than just one spiked wheel
Left and right specific doesn’t matter. Just need 4 sets with the right 4 rows right hand and the left 4 rows left hand.

Far from broke and really haven’t spent much money this spring.
Ih prices for planter parts is crazy that's why I went with shoup.
Parts for everything are to expensive anymore.
My 1950T is 12 volt I had no idea they even came 6 volt mine is a 1967 model
They didn’t come 6 volt…
48 damp and enough wind to make it miserable in VA.
Luckily we had some sun.
Why don’t you take the 6 volt batteries out and replace them with two 12 volt batteries
Because it supposed to have two 6 volts in it…

6 volt batteries aren’t hard to find and you get more cold cranking amps out of 2 6’s in series than 2 12’s in parallel.
