I've been meaning to try this method since the voles and bunnies love to eat my carrot sprouts and the birds eat my pea and bean seeds. Great idea to have the removable "floor"
For the longest time, the bunnies just ate the dandelions and left my raised beds alone but last year they discovered they could jump up into the beds and eat the plants there! They are tall beds too!
you should plant a garden just for bunnies. Do a planter and then let about 6inches above it put a fencing material but instead of rounded like you have here keep it flat. Chicken farmers do that for their chickens since they really only like the tips.

Smart idea. I like it.
Thanks Maria!

Yes, it seems that the more productive our beds are, the more the creatures come wanting to eat our produce. Our bed caps save our crops.
