It's amazing the fact they used an actual practical effect in the show and used an actual animatronic puppet for it and little cgi

I use wonder why my 3 year old nephew likes to watch toy reveal videos...now i know why lol
They're not all crying sounds. They're his baby sounds -- cooing and just cute little noises. Some of them are identical to certain sounds he made on the show -- I recognized them right away. For example, when he waves at Greef Karga after Greef wants him to do "the magic hand thing" - that same sound is in this plush, and he was not crying in that scene. I agree that it would have been nice to have more giggles too, though.
Aww! He looks even cuter than in the Pictures and he does have feet. I am so relieved. Thanks for showing him, I'll be getting mine in a few weeks. :)

The holes are for mandatory safety requirements so that the bowl cannot get suctioned or stuck around young childrens' mouths. There needs to be air holes to prevent this from happening.
the bottom is flat and far bigger than any mouth, it won't get suctioned to anything

Yeah I wanted to use it as an actual cup! But now there is ugly fake soup and holes in it!

Theodore Altman That's exactly why the holes are there, so people don't try to drink out of it because the paint/plastic is not food safe. Same thing with the Harry Potter Goblet of Fire and Hufflepuff Cup replicas; they have holes for this reason.

this is an amazing video ty for comparing the mattel and the hasbro version, thankfully the payment method on my hasbro one got declined bc it was my grandmas old card so i just bought the mattel baby yoda instead and i’m super happy he’s coming in 2 weeks!

I've got him in my shopping cart the only thing I keep thinking about is the size too bad he's not a little bigger and I like how a couple of the other ones comes in a box resembling his pod or like a plush looking pod too bad this one's box doesn't look like the pod when he's not out I like to keep him in his pod. I like the feet but the size. The other one is bigger but doesn't have feet but the box looks like the pod. I'm really wondering if it's that big a deal that he has feet. I love his feet though. I would have traded the frog and bowel for his pod even if it's a box. I'm conflicted i only want to buy one. They're cute but only working with a little bit of money though. I love the sounds he's so adorable too bad he's not alittle bigger

Great review! Thank you! Was wondering out off all the versions, which do you feel is the closest to the show version? I personally really like the 11" Mattel plush best. Am waiting for the animatronic version as well.
I definitely think the Mattel plush is the closest so far given the size and shapes, details etc. This Hasbro has the advantage of having feet and sounds but it's still not as detailed, it's pretty small, and it's not as cute!

Jacob Klotz thanks for the support! So I actually mentioned it to another person too, I definitely prefer the Mattel plush. The BAB is cute and the softest but it’s just not “baby Yoda” ya know? The Hasbro in this video is cool and unique too but the sounds just aren’t there and I wish it were bigger. If I saw this and the Mattel in the store, I would definitely choose the Mattel plush only!
SAGAtoday I totally agree, if you’re looking for a baby today plush that looks like the one from the show, the Mattel one or the animatronic one that hasn’t come out is your best bet. In terms of full up plush baby yoda’s, I like the Build-A-Bear version better than the Disney exclusive version.

You know it's tough to say. I think it's almost on the same level as the Mattel plush but the sounds are just not there as I had hoped. I have high hopes for the animatronic version since it's 3x the price but we'll see. Personally if I had seen both in the store I would only buy the Mattel plush

Mattel’s looks cuter but less accurate to the show, also I can’t stand that he has no feet. Hasbro’s sounds are horrible tho, but at least he has feet.

I like Mattel’s better for the size of it. I have this one too. I am getting the full on animatronic version and taking this one back. Mattel and the Deluxe version coming out are the best in my opinion.

I will be getting mine the first week of July (the 6th). I had trouble deciding between this one and the 11inch one, but since all the post and videos I have seen on Facebook of people talking about their 11inch baby Yoda 's. Thought I would be different and get the newer one. I prob won't get the aminatronic on in DEC since it took a bit of talking for my wife to let me get this one. Lol

The figure must stand. It would be annoying for child if it doesn't. Someone who designed that toy have no kids. Sounds are not that sweet, not natural. Just use average child sound.
