Huge bonus when you can feel the forces of the aircraft as opposed to rc.

Great to see this- my Dad (89 now) used to fly. I first started 50 years ago but haven't flown in years. I have two kits in the attic waiting patiently to be built.

Been out for easy 10 years. Never sold anything. From Cox to Nelson - it can happen anytime. Cecil and Mitch - California. Thanks for sharing Bob.

i flew control line starting in the 1960s and never had an interest in flying RC. I can actually feel my airplane stall through the flying lines which you cannot do flying RC.

It sure was fun and I think I saw Mr Mears in Midland a couple of times in the mid 70's.

And the very last video was a prime example of how the Earth always wins against aircraft...of any type.

Why not grow a 🍐 and go full RC? Im sure you get that question a lot..

CL is a very different sport than RC. I have flown both. CL combat is unique. The combatants are locked into the same area by the control lines. Thay can't get away from each other like in RC. The planes fly within a few feet of the ground not like in RC where you fly high above the ground giving time to recover. It takes great skill to fly side by side, not tangle your lines, not hit eachother's aircraft, not bump into eachother, not crash into the ground. I can go on... So my question is why not grow a pair and try it yourself! If not than don't put down something you have never tried and would have no chance at competing at.

U-control combat vs rc combat is analogous to a cage fight vs a boxing ring. The u-control combat is close quarters and intense. Also, in u-control, you feel the airplane. I have done a little rc flying, but always want to go back to u-control.

NO WAY TANGLED LINES PISSED OFF 2ND FLYER BECAUSE YOU ELBOWED HIM IN THE SIDE, U CONTROL IS NOT FUN.
