Here from your funny IG reels. I never expected you to be this professional and engaging on camera. You have a nice presenter's voice as well. Can't believe you don't have more views.
Aw thanks so much! What a kind encouragement! Growing on TH-cam takes time, I’m still relatively new at it ☺️ Stick around, like, comment and share - it’ll happen! 🥰🙌
Hi! I’m so excited to try this recipe and I just got my first chemex. I was wondering what number did you set your fellow ode to for the chemex for this recipe? I’m still learning which grind size is best
I think I did 2 or even one notch finer. Give it a shot and let me know! It can vary by bean so if the first brew goes to fast, just grind finer or if it takes too long grind a little finer!
Since my girlfriend don’t drink black coffee (or anything else than a Bailey flavored cappuccino…), I usually go solo with my V60 or Aeropress for that kind of brew. But you are right… sooooo refreshing 🧊 ☕️
How often do you make these and how has the durability of the carafe? I saw a review of the Hario v60 carafe cracking after a few months, so I'd be concerned with the difference in temperature causing it to crack prematurely or something.
Do you include the bloom time in your draw down target time? I just did this Chemex version and got 530 total time (including 1 minute bloom). Did I brew too long?
I did include the bloom. Without tasting it I would guess that’s a hair long. Was it bitter at all? If not, it’s probably fine! I’ve had good Chemex brews at 5:30 but generally am a little shorter esp on a flash brew. But.. go by taste first! If it’s bitter, try grinding coarser. If it’s sour, try grinding finer ☺️
@@DaddyGotCoffee That’s helpful, thanks. It did taste good. I think because I’m at higher altitude (8200ft/2500m) my brew temp is lower so it’s not extracting as much so a little longer doesn’t hurt.

Thank you so much!!! 🙌🔥

No problem! Any questions let me know!
Going to try the single serve on the OREA v3. Excited to see the results. Probably going to go about 700 microns on the comandante.
By the way... how did this turn out????
@@DaddyGotCoffee extremely good! The Ethiopian I use makes a very light fruit forward cup so it was a huge win!
Excelente
Can you do this method in a Bodum Pour Over Coffee Maker as well?
Do you use the IPA glasses for any particular reason? I have a few but never thought to use them for iced coffee.
I use them because I like drinking out of them 🤣
Hi! Can you share where you got those coffee glasses?
These are actually Spiegelau IPA glasses - but they work great as iced coffee glasses!
Can you review this vs the Hyper chiller. I wonder which is better.
I didn’t know that was a thing till now 🤣 I might just do that!

It’s soooo good esp on a hot day!

I've never heard of an issue with this. Maybe if you were putting it on a hot stovetop I could see this but I've only ever broken one by dropping it.
So for this one, you only do two pours, but for a hot cup you do 4?
can i use the chemex recipe for 2 using my v60?
As long as your carafe will fit the ice, absolutely!

60/40, eh? I always do 50/50, this could be game changing!
I used to do 50/50 and always get better results going 60/40. I think I saw that from Hoffman first!
40 😂 percent ice 60 hot Hot water ... Where's the Fuckin Coffee?
