It's been 10 years since you made this video and you seem like a smart and humble man, so all want to say is, Thank You for your help, I hope you're still living the dream and please, Stay Blessed
Don't know if you could still say, but you never specified the fan direction. Fan with braces on outside show exhaust, but I thought the fan was supposed to be pushing air though the evap coil. Which means fan should be turned around. What do you think?
I realise this vid is 6+ years old but just wanted to ask. What made you want to replace the fan? Was it simply not running? I have a similar machine and the fan does not run resulting in a heat build up under the tray which melts the ice quicker than it can freeze! Was this the way your machine was acting? Many thanks.
Thank you for this. I need to fix the water sensor in my Emerson machine. Do you have any advice for that? I suspect that is a big problem for owners of this great little machine.
+Mary Fenimore Thanks for the comment, I have not had a problem with that. Its probably a switch, if it's dry and running, the pump can go out. So keep water in it when it's running. Pappy
Wow Larry! Thanks man, that music is embarrassing. Back when I made this I forwarded it to Emerson. No wonder I never heard back from them Lol... Anyway, The TH-cam editor will not let me strip out the music. So.... some day when I have time I'll re-mix this without that dreadful music. Thanks for the heads up buddy. Respectfully, Pappy
My fan stops and then restarts when the water fills is this the correct operation? Sometimes the fan won't start without a bump, can it be the switch at the top?
My Emerson want make ice can you give me some ideas what the problem is it's refurbished but I could never get it to make ice it doesn't get cold inside
+Sharon Dennis Thank You for watching, If the pump is not pumping water to the cooling rods then they will not turn on. This can be a problem if the unit runs out of water often the pump burns out. If that's not your problem the compressor may not be engaging or working. I have not had this problem... Pappy
PappysCorner thanks for the reply, replacement part is no longer available I have found SXDOOL SXD12025B12M a close match but do not understand amperage & replacing it with a fan with higher amperage 0.33A exact in every other way
Sorrry, just caught your comment, I'm not sure either, I will say your safe with not hurting the fan. Probably work if it's rpm's are good enough to cool the motor. The higher amps may allow it to spin even faster than needed for this application. Better cooling is better I'd say.

Yes, I think it's a common problem.

Where can i buy the replacement fan. I cant find any online
Hi... thanks for the corner stop. I purchased on line many years ago.
Helpful for servicing fan. However, music was very distracting. It is not needed.

It's been awhile, but I believe mine did that, then quit working altogether. Pretty sure it;'s the fan. Thanks for watching!!
