In the general lore of Transformers Sideways is a multidimensional being that travels universe to universe causing mayhem, he is equipped with an ability where he can regenerate lost parts. Movie Sideways took over the "ask Vector prime" Q&A one time after his death
He made yo mama jokes and provided lots of insulting BS answers. The hijack ended when he seemingly got his head blown off, but it was later revealed he faked his death with the help of a headmaster partner.

Wrong, Sideswipe's vehicle mode is a Corvette Stingray and Sideways' vehicle mode is an Audi R8, the Covette Stingray and Audi R8 look nothing alike.

So I guess dead end and sideways were friends during their time and had worked together similarly to how the wreckers were friendly to each other and when sideways had died and dead end had fought and died with his brother in arm's armor and colors and when he died he had met his "dead" end in such a brutal way

@@Tom-oz7wk in sideswipes defence he was probably ordered to as its a decepticon hunt, the autobots have to work with nest to stay on earth and since they made a mess in the first film I'm guessing they just want the left over cons all dead so he kinda didn't have much of a choice also that kind of work fits his personality

Its basically confirmed that sideways is a multiversal Singularity i.e. there is only one sideways in the entirety of transformers canon. He merely regenerated from his attack from sideswipe just as he did in armada.

Yah, should have been a whole ass fight scene, we could still get most of the movie the same. Just change it so we cut to after the girls lose him Swipe and Ways are now in a chase only for them to fight a bit, how it plays out is up tot he writers, Ways is losing, maybe got his weapons sliced up but not too badly damaged physically, so he does a dirty move to buy himself some time and attempt an escape in vehicle mode, only for Swipe to then have the death scene play out like normal with Ways getting sliced in half.
I buy into the theory that ROTF Sideways is Armada Sideways after he hopped to another dimension. Armada Sideways is nigh-impossible to kill thanks to the powers he gained from Unicron.
I just wanna appreciate that the cgi in tf 1-3 looks insanely good, definitely better than most movies now. And those cgi models must be crazy expensive to develop, so paramount had to reuse a few of them sometimes 😉
Its interesting how not many people know that Sideways was Bumblebees arch nemesis. Due to them both being scouts for either side, and frequently engaging eachother from what I recall.

When the TF Animated AllSpark Almanac guidebooks showed off their version of Sideways, it’s revealed that he came from another universe, hinting that he was the same guy as the ROTF character. He even took over the TF Q&A “Ask Vector Prime” column, joking and misdirecting the reader about his true origin.
If there was a Sideways imposter like you claim, would it be considered another one of his many misdirections, leaving his identity a total mystery?

I wouldn't exactly call that a "remold". Their respective body designs are pretty different actually, and their alt modes are nowhere near to be similar. But they do indeed share some similarities in some parts of their bodies. Sideways is not a remold of Barricade CGI model, but he was probably based on and influenced by it.
P.S.: I'm deeply in love with both of them, they're both my favourite Bayverse characters

I have a theory base on the idea of sideways interdimensional concept base on sidesway from armada. And during his trip throw the transformers multiverse and made a double when traveling into the movie verse sense these autobots were brutal and they were closing in so he made a double of himself to escape and expected the double to be killed soon but was unaware he was given a portion of sideways gifted power from unicron to him and the explosion was a fake death tricking the autobots into thinking the double was killed but wasnt so lucky in dotm

I think the imposter is wreckloose. I say this because wreckloose was the only one to get a RPM car for them.
Personally, I think that the Sideways we see in DotM is indeed Sideways himself, not a resurrected Sideways or some sort of original with the first one we see being a clone, but that the first Sideways and this Sideways are both the original. What I mean by this is that Sideways at some point had his spark split between two bodies, whether it be a natural speration, or something similar in nature to Beast Wars Rampage and Dinobot II, but that this iteration of him is also taking cues from Armada Sideways in that both halves are part of the same whole.
This is a great theory, I alway wondered how Sideways survived. Turns out, He didn't. He did not deserve to die in my opinion, he was seriously only running for his life. Demolisher is more understandable since he decided to take the highway. But Sideways didn't hurt anyone, to my knowledge anyway. So in a way, who was really the bad guy in that situation? Sideways, who didn't do anything to our knowledge and was merely running for his life, or Sideswipe, who bisected a fleeing decepticon who hadn't even fired a shot at anyone?

As he is shown to be and stated to be, he is an Audi R8 which, according to google, can travel at 322 to 330 km/h or 200 to 205 mph.
Hell, Bumblebee’s Camaro vehicle mode (with slight differences) is on par with most supercars.
You can even outrun other cars while in vehicle mode, it seems like.

My guess would of been sideways had a stole a Audi R8 And use cybertron tech to make it look like it was really sideways, Also made a great escape while the stolen Audi R8 was destroyed and blown up by sideswipe and just came to the fight in the battle because megatron and sentinel needed all decepticons to prevent the autobots taken down the pillars. Your evidence and research shows that ur theory made more sense.

I can definitely agree with you that Dead End is the Sideways in Dark of the Moon. It also makes sense for Age of Extinction to have Dead End become Stinger instead of Dino. Since KSI couldn't get Dino, Dead End is a good substitute. Dead End has the color red like Dino and Dead End/Sideways body type is similar to Dino's, though not the same.

I personally believe a theory I saw on TH-cam that Sideways can travel the multiverse, and can heal incredibly fast. Basically saying that the Sideways from Cybertron and Energon were the same Sideways, as well as this one.

Funny story, when you uploaded knights misconceptions I found it at 12:40/50 ended up staying up past 1:00 to watch it.
What Sideswipe didn't know was that Sideways has plot armor. That's why Sideways should be the leader of the Decepticons.
In the toy bios High-Speed Spy Battle (Multi-pack, 2010) it is written that Sideways was rebuild after his chopped in half by Sideswipe. So if you're a fan of revived characters, this bio is definitely the answer to how Sideways returned to DOTM. Although it all depends on your imagination.

Sad story, I used to have the fast action battler sideways as a kid and when I watched rotf for the first time on my dvd tv i was so confused and saddened that my favorite toy legitimately didn’t even fight back and still got killed in probably the most horrific way possible.

What I survived sentinel _ Jetfire _ lockdown
Trans, I have a theory that Optimus Prime was originally a jet-based vehicle.
Before TF 2007, he lost his jet part, which prompts him to take land-based vehicle. But because of that, he knows how he can stop Megatron in his jet mode.
Then, in TF ROTF, Optimus got accustomed to his truck mode that he explored more of a land-based fighting style. That's why he beat Megatron, Starscream and Grindor. When he got Jetfire's part, he can use it efficiently because he had jet parts before he landed on Earth. His muscle memory made him use Jetfire's part effectively.
On DOTM, he wants to be able to choose which form to take, so he commisioned Q to make a detachable jet parts so he can excel at the air and ground battle.
On AOE, Knight Temenos was his ship. So, its possible that one of the trophy/statue in the ship was based on his original body. Prime scanned it and returned to how he originally looked like. That's why he can fly without any wing on his body.

All I know is im extremely happy he was playable in the 360 game because I played as him as much as I could.
He has remained a simple favorite Transformer of mine due to his role in the game so much so that I grabbed his Studio series figure.
Shame about the deal nonsense, but Bay was so obsessed with killing Desepticons like crazy so it wouldn't have mattered anyway. This is one of the many reasons I'll always prefer Transformers Cartoons like G1 because the bots last very long and I grow to care about them that when they die im either satisfied or sad

He appeared in DOTM because the animators were too lazy to get a decepticon protoform and they used sideswipe.
