Does anyone remember Valomilks? Soft marshmallow covered in chocolate. You saved a cardboard in the package and if you had enough you'd mail them in for a cheap prize. One prize we got was a plastic cow that was a puzzle you fit together. Another was a robot with a string you hung over the table and it walked. Fun times for kids. Most of the 50's candy isn't here. We had wax lips, wax flutes, dot candy on paper, slow pokes, candy cigarettes with powdered sugar that blew out like smoke, cherry licorice and bazooka gum.
Saf-T pops are pronounced safety. They are called such because apparently children n the 50’s were stupid and would poke themselves in the mouth with the lollipop stick or something. I mean this is the same company that makes Dum Dums.
