Fantastic beast movies were good
1:45 really come on
4:25 really agian
8:04 yep
Wolverine deserved better. I would have loved to See all the wars he participated in
That would be pretty interesting.
Me too
Wolverine deserved better. Well, we did get Logan.
10 years ago all 3 Star Wars prequels would’ve been on here, but times are changing.
Damn right times have changed. Those films have flaws, but they are endlessly enjoyable
I’d say that episodes 1 and 2 probably would be but episode 3 has always been seen as one of the better Star wars movies
Was wondering if anyone would bring this up...
They don't belong on this list at any point in time.
Neither does Oz The Great and Powerful.
Because the sequels suck way worse
Hating X-Men Origins: Wolverine is like hating Nickelback. You secretly like it, but afraid to admit it to anyone. I like Origins.
Including deadpool with his mouth shout?
@@motor4X4kombat yes. Not a big fan of the current DP. He talks too much and his jokes are always so cringe. I understand that’s who he is, but I’m not a fan.
@@Feurthan sure and evil superman is better than good superman
@@motor4X4kombat I don’t even like Henry Cavill’s version of Superman.
Actually,
I did admit that I actually like Origins (As well as Nickelback).
And the movie tie-in videogame was actually really awesome and badass.
Wolverine origins is such a guilty pleasure movie of mines and I actually like The Thing Prequel my only negative about the movie is the CGI.
@@p-__ no one likes a spammer.
@@FeurthanExactly! It’s so asinine how some people don’t see a problem with it, never mind that it doesn’t contribute anything to the video’s topic. I, for one, hated _Oz: The Great and Powerful._
Am I only one love the Thing prequel than original?
And how they introduced Deadpool as a mute abomination created by Stryker.
@@Jeremiah_Rivers76 I could not get past the part where he first ends up in Oz and meets Theodora. It strictly looked like Franco and Kunis were acting in front of green screen with nothing else (like in Star Wars: Attack of the Clones) and I just turned the movie off.
ORIGINS was still a decent movie on its own
Especially compared to the most recent Marvel movies we got
Decent yes, But so disapointed.
Dang! Nice hot take! 👍🏻
@@p-__ what the fuck
On review aggregation website Rotten Tomatoes the film has an approval rating of 38% based on 259 reviews, with an average rating of 5.1/10. The site's critical consensus reads, "Though Hugh Jackman gives his all, he can't help X-Men Origins: Wolverine overcome a cliche-ridden script and familiar narrative."
the only times MCU got closest to it was Secret Invasion 45%
Deadpool 3 is giving Wolverine something Fox never did , A Comic Accurate costume
I liked rise of the Lycans because it was the only Underworld movie where we were rooting for the Lycans
Yea the fact that they complain about Selene not being a main focus while the movie is titled Rise of the Lycans is hilarious. It was meant to focus on the werewolves and i enjoyed the backstory behind the war
@@p-__ What’s that supposed to mean?
Glad to see that the Star Wars prequels are not in the list
Im suprise just like you
I'm also surprised and glad as well.
That shows that they weren't exactly all that bad, and they have their own fair share of iconic moments (Revenge Of The Sith is my personal favorite one).
But when it comes to being the most cursed one of the prequel trilogy,
Is probably The Phantom Menace (only in some scenes).
The Scorpion King wasn't bad. Its follow ups which were supposed to be its own prequels were
at least logan was rly good. wolverine got a good film after all
The Wolverine 2013 was also good
Better than good, it was great and emotional.
I liked "Underworld Rise of the Lycans "
same
Alien: Covenant needs to be on this list. Neither it or Prometheus brought audiences right up to the 1979 source material. Fans wanted to see Weyland-Yutani send the rerouting order to the Nostromo, not David infecting the engineers and the colonists. At least The Thing prequel brought us right up to the beginning of John Carpenter's 1982 classic.
Fun to see films I really like: Oz, Wolverine, The Scorpion King.
I was expecting The Phantom Menace to be on here.
Well,
Most of the time.
At least The Podrace Sequence was fun to watch, and Duel Of The Fates was awesome and cool (Gotta love John Williams).
It’s treason then
Probably they saw how much worse a star Wars movie can become without George Lucas
I don’t think The Scorpion King is a prequel anymore.
How dare they put Oz the Great and Powerful on this list! (plus Dumb and Dumberer is probably one of my favorite Guilty Pleasures!)
Yeah I liked that movie!
When my family saw Oz the great and powerful in theater, the full theater was basically full
That was a great movie. Seriously underrated.
@@theunknowncommenter725 yeah
If you liked Dumb and Dumberer, then you should stop drinking bleach
The Fantastic Beast had 2 main issues.
1) They doubled down and supported a proven abuser while firing Depp
2) It was suppose to be about the Fantastic Beasts, instead they forgot that and tired to shoe in links to Harry Potter franchise.
The FB films should have been like the Bond films. A returning main cast for each one but a separate story for each, with a new location and new beasts. Trying to have an ongoing HP style story was the wrong choice.
4:22 WAIT A MINUTE, "THE SCORPION KING 2: RISE OF A WARRIOR" IS THE REAL EPIC PREQUEL FAIL TO THE FIRST SCORPION KING FILM THAT SUPPOSED TO BE AT #7! PLEASE DO THE TOP 20 OR MORE MOVIE PREQUEL FAILS OF THE FOLLOWING:

- THE TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE: THE BEGINNING (PREQUEL TO 2003 "THE TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE" REMAKE FILM)
...AND MANY MORE, LOL! 🎬🎥👎😂
Was 300 Rise of an Empire really a prequel, though? It was mostly about the battle of Salamis which occurred around the same time as the original 300
That was my thought. The sea battles take place at the same time, historical so I thought I must have been missing something.
The problem with the Exorcist films is that they really haven't had a good one since the original (though i haven't seen the newest one).
the newest one is woeful, 2 and the prequels are superior
Watch the TV show, probably the best-received one since the original. highly recommend
Exorcist 3 is an underated sequel
I liked the first Fantastic Beasts movie. And Oz the great and powerful.
I actually enjoyed Oz 😅
But i may be biased though because i love Mila Kunis
Also Underworld Rise of the Lycans was awesome, its meant to give the Lycans more screen time for those werewolf fans
Wolverine Origins was terrible but so we're most of the Fox "marvel" movies.
Daredevil Director's Cut, X-Men, X2, First Class, The Wolverine, Days of Future Past, Deadpool 1 & 2, and Logan are all great. Apocalypse is passable. They made plenty of stinkers but they have enough great to make up for it
You know the SW Prequels have moved up in the world when they do a 10 worst movie prequels list and they’re nowhere on it.
Top 10 Times Critics are wrong about ANIMATED movies. Example: Wish.
Ice age franchise is the first to come in mind, but after the third movie it went down hill.
Underworld: rise of the lycans is GOOD, better than the last Underworld sequel, the scorpion king has a great soundtrack, and a few highlights, better than The mummy tomb of the dragon emperor and tom cruise's mummy.
Stephen Sommers, the director/writer of the first two of his The Mummy works and the executive producer for the Scorpion King spin-offs/prequels considers the Scorpion King to be Mathayus' grandson and Mathayus himself a legendary hero. The Scorpion King movies themselves have a wonky continuity with the first two films demonstrating him to be a courageous and honorable man, the third showing him to have a darker side, but then the last two just discards that aspect entirely, the final one even closes with a statement that Mathayus will be remembered as a good guy with no signs of him turning evil.
I got to say that anyone tries to copy Jim Carrey' acting in comedies, NO WAY.
Exorcist the beginning is underrated. If it wasn’t related to the first one it would be better receive. I can kinda forgive the bad cgi I do think it’s fun
I didn't even know there was a sequel to Dumb and Dumber. I only knew of the prequel. I had to look it up and I swear 2014... I do not recall any advertising for that movie at all.
i dont either. i did see it and remembering not liking the sequel
The Scorpion King wasn’t a great movie, but it’s still a fun and entertaining movie and doesn’t deserve to be on this list.
What about the flintstones prequel shit?
You're one of the few who would even know about the old series. Icr which one You're talking about
Can you do top 10 episodes of The Batman 2004?
I liked OZ THE GREAT AND POWERFUL, DUMB AND DUMBERER, and DUMB AND DUMBER TO. They’re not the greatest movies, but they don’t deserve the hate and OZ is not really a full-on prequel to the 1939 classic, but more of an origin story that’s somewhat considered a “spiritual prequel”. As ridiculous as PAN is, it’s not a prequel to any PETER PAN adaptation especially Disney’s animated film that you mentioned on here.
Also, come on. The FANTASTIC BEASTS movies are great. Heck, the first movie is my favorite in the Wizarding World. They shouldn’t be on here.
Wolverine origins movie could be better without the bad Deadpool movie design
Captain Marvel ??? The Flintstones: Living Las Vegas ?.
Suprise the Star wars prequel wasn’t on this list, is this a sign to the fanbase?
Compare that to sequels trilogy
They made prequel trilogy look like masterpiece
@@tvalokibatman6563 what utter nonsense.
@@tvalokibatman6563
The sequel Trilogy have its moment, such as better special effect and more.
But the prequel had some issue as well.
I don't care what people say but I like some of the movies on this list like: 07, 06, & 03
"Prometheus"? "Solo: A Star Wars Story"?
Rise of the Lycans was quite actually.
Should've put instead The Hobbit trilogy, and replace Scoprion King with its own prequel.
The Flinstones: Rock in Las Vegas (2000)
Can you do comic book origin of Marvel's Unicorn, Blizzard and the Controller?
those are actual comic book characters?
Where are the Star Wars prequels?
The harry porter movies are pretty bad as well.
how did prometheus not make the list
I would love if they made a prequal to jumunji,
want to see who made the game and the first people to play it
Re-do this list The Thing was perfectly fine, and The Scorpion King is an amazing Guilty pleasure movies common man
The Dukes of Hazzard: The Beginning. 😂
Lucky the Star Wars prequels ain’t on here
It doesn't answer the main question that is how Mathias becomes a hideous and uncany CGI monster
I think oz the great and powerful is okay and not awful but I do think the film should have shown how he ended up in oz and shown what happened after he returned to Kansas after the end of the wizard of oz but I also have to admit that return to oz is still better than oz the great and powerful and could have used less c.g.I.
Fantastic Beasts looks like very good series. It's strange to see Weller in 300😊Excorcist:Begging is pretty good movie.I love X Men:Origins. Great movie!😀
I thought the prequel to 300 was pretty awesome
i hope for a Kill Bill prequel but shame it never happened
Oz the great am powerful was a great lm though
I was surprised to not see any of the Star Wars prequels on this list. I don't feel this way, but a lot of people hate Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, set before Raiders of the Lost Ark. Maybe prequels aren't George Lucas' forte.
Carlito's Way: Rise of Power ????
The Thing prequel got done so dirty, swapping out the practical effects for CG at the last second, ugh.
George Clooney Batman and tmnt 3
those arent prequels. those are sequels. a prequel is a movie or tv show made to lead up to events of the main movie or tv show
oh, oops@@mattalan6618
Hello good afternoon
I loved
The Thing
Underworld
Wolverine (1of my favourite movies)
Fantastic Beasts and Where... do we go from here?
1:56 I disagree with this one.
How come the Star Wars prequels didn't make it on the list?
Wolverine isnt bad. Just some are failed in character screentime.
Surely the top two should be The Hobbit trilogy and the Star Wars prequels.
I like origins because of gambit
Nobody wants to watch a corporate manufactured movie prequel? Big shock!
Where's The Phantom Menace?
Here is the problem, the same muscles used to pop Wolverine's claws would push them through the gloves while boxing
Having a Deadpool without a mouth in a movie defeats the point..
Fantastic Beast Franchise, I wouldn't call it the worst movie prequel series, seeing as there is one that is even worse than it and yes I'm looking at the Peter Pan knockoffs that failed to capture anything but let's try and make money on this but have it as a different story.
3:03 - 4:27 It’s such a shame
I saw Oz: The Great & Powerful and it was awesome to watch!
X-men origins wolverine was awesome 😎
That’s tame for them to not include the phantom menace as part of their list “what the hell is going on”
The Huntsman: Winter's war ???
Pan is Lion King level, compared to the dross that is Peter Pan And Wendy.
I didn’t know and care how X-Men Origins Wolverine was the worst movie of the franchise that was my first Marvel X-Men movie as a child growing up way before the Avengers and the MCU years later
Underworld 3 is the best one . Next to the first. Can do with the 2nd 4th and 5th
Butch and Sundance: The Early Days
Pre-2016 WatchMojo would've definitely included the prequel trilogy here.
If you forgot the prequels to silence of the lambs it’s because they’re so forgettable. Without the chemistry of Jodie foster and her co Star they’re just gory. I remember sitting with my mom at the matinee because she wanted to see it. We were the only ones in the theater
I personally liked the Wolverine prequel. But each to their own.
Wolverine was great IDGAF what anyone says.
I really enjoyed love the fantastic beasts movies and fantastic job the video watch mojo.
You should do a list of the worst modern movie and TV tropes. 1.) Actors playing themselves. 2.) Horribly edited flashbacks reintroducing Characters from past films, where they explain everything to the audience and say "Remember when....." 3.) Characters born flawless with no Heroes journey or training to be successful. 4.) Washed up actors that no one cares about being thrown into films for cameos. 5.) The hammer to the head approach of lecturing the audience. 6.) Characters making excuses for their revenge or dickish behavior, because of their identity. 7.) Rich, angry, white women style girl boss revenge feminism. 8.) Portraying all Men as stupid and pushovers like Godzilla vs. Kong does. 9.) Characters who are Sociopaths, that we're supposed to empathize with like AHS, Nip/Tuck and the Sopranos. 10.) Glamorizing Prostitution and no consequences for characters that do hard drugs, have orgies and cheat. Please do away with these tropes. It's all just lazy and dull storytelling and writing and really making everyone hate Hollywood and the U.S. and making us all stupid. Roger Ebert calls it the idiot plot, for example characters that cheat on each other and then revenge cheat until their all miserable, never learn a lesson or change. If the charcaters stop behaving like assholes, then there'd be no story. Do Sociopaths write these scripts or Ivy League students with Elvis Costello glasses and 10 cats who worked for Buzzfeed?
@@p-__These lists are great. I just hate prequels and the above tropes that are in every sequel, prequels, reboot, Netflix originals, TV shows. ect. It's exhausting and surely there are new ideas under the sun. Some prequels like the Star Wars ones and Prometheus are good, but few and far between and TV shows based on films are rarely better than the original.
@@user-uw1er9fg7p dude you just answered a bot
@@user-uw1er9fg7p report p. He has spammed the same comment in multiple channels.
I will admit to enjoying X-men Origins: Wolverine, though the CG did suck. I also enjoyed the Fantastic Beast trilogy too. The Scorpion King was a decent movie; but yeah, Oz: the Great And Powerful wasn't so great.
guys even the hobbit trilogy is no good
And yet,
It still counts as a LOTR prequel movie trilogy.
Pet Sematary: Bloodlines
Any reason you didn’t include The Phantom Menace/Attack of Clones.
And don’t tell me “oh way u talking about. Those films were my childhood and are better than da sequels so therefore, shouldn’t be criticized”
They’re still kinda bad
i liked the oz film
X-Men Origins: Wolverine… ew!
Scorpion King wasn’t that bad 🤷🏿♂️
Least rise of the lycans was pretty badass
7:00 You’re welcome 😎
Oz the great and powerful was awesome!!!!! And didn't we get a "peak behind the curtain" in the The Wizard of Oz in the first place?
Arguably The Scorpion King should have been higher on the list
@@p-__ I’ll put this is the likely true bucket 😂
Ngl I liked the wolverine origins. I love Deadpool but his movie made up for that
I loved fantastic beasts.
