Hi I bought this car radio that the internal microphone is unusable .... Am I forced to do this operation of disassembling it and cutting the red wire of the microphone or do I do the RMA? Thank you
None of the cheaper Chinese headunits have good telephone call quality. The audio circuit designs are crude and lack filtering and noise cancellation. Removing the internal mic will improve things a bit, but its not transformative. The only Chinese unit I'm aware of with good phone audio quality is the Dudu7 - it has digital filtering and noise cancellation but its 2x-3x the price of the UA13. If good telephone call quality is a high priority then stick with the big name Japanese brands such as Kenwood, Alpine, Sony etc...
@@erictechUK ok thank you but apart from this problem the car radio works fine and is right for me. I will try cutting the red wire to see if that solves the microphone.
Hey Eric, fantastic review on the UA13 which I have recently purchased for my car, very impressed with the turn on speed (1-2 secs) to hear the radio as that did concern me. The Android Auto works really well and the microphone in my car is fantastic (spoke to my daughter first time use and she said volume is okay), and I did not connect the external one although the head unit occasionally (not often) gets it bit laggy but overall, very impressed with my purchase. I did have to connect the illumination wire to the main illumination harness ISO as the button lights did not work on car lights, but Eonon told me that they left it disconnected as some cars it cause problems if connected. I just wanted to connect my phone and use maps and listen to mostly radio so great for me and the GPS works great they also gave me a bonus reversing camera and a cigar socket USB charger. I did have a question about adding apps to the main widget screen where maps are viewed, how is that achieved, by loading from USB or connecting via Wi-Fi. Thanks Melbourne Australia.
Yes it will fit a 2009 Yaris but you will need a fascia adapter panel. Check out eBay or AliExpress e.g. £14.59 | 2 DIN For Toyota Yaris Vitz Platz 2005 2006 2007 2008 2009-2011 Car DVD/CD Radio Stereo Fascia Panel Frame Adaptor Fitting Kit a.aliexpress.com/_EG8uKnA
Hello Eric. Am looking for this model to fit my Audi mk2 tt but can’t seem to find it. Very keen on the price as I’m on a restricted budget. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks.
Eonon don't appear to make a version specific to the Audi TT Mk2. You would have to get a fascia adapter plate for your car and then install the standard 2-DIN UA13. 2-DIN (7") fascia adapters for the Mk2 TT are available on AliExpress for around £15-20. You will also need a wiring adapter + CANbus module - again on AliExpress for around £10. As an alternative you could fit a larger 9" screen headunit like a Mekede/Navifly M300S. 9" fascia adapter with wiring + CANbus module is around £25. If telephone call quality is important consider a 9" DUDU7 unit - very good but more expensive at £250-300
I wish I had seen this before buying mine, but you are right. For the price and the vehicle I am putting it in, it is still a good buy.
