Makes me proud to be sitting in my flat in Ipswich watching this, Suffolk humour is kind but dry and sarcastic, it's born from being working class and never letting people get too big headed. Love Dennis. I reckon these little bonus things should be brought back....and I really think Ronnie would be great at it, he was born to entertain. Come on BBC !
Dennis Taylor was always a very funny and witty entertainer in the exhibition matches. All the same, who'd have ever predicted back then that Steve "Interesting" Davis would eventually be revealed as being perhaps even more naturally comedic and entertaining himself.
I remember when Steve Davis was in his prime, a Pro footballer on TV remarked how Steve Davis was totally different when giving after-dinner talks. Hilarious!
Had the pleasure of meeting the Man 30 odd Years ago. It was in Glasgow where STV had a televised snooker contest called The Big Break. My late Dad and I had backstage tickets through a Family friend who worked at STV, and were treated to The Dennis Taylor we all love,Cracking jokes and just being Himself. Considering that it was 10 'O'Clock in the Morning He left Us with the impression that He is the World's all round good Guy....!
I must this is quite surprising that woman and Dennis kissing mouth on mouth rather peck on the cheek. As they was two strangers . I must say that a woman 1989 i met in my line of vision walked up to each other NO ALCOHOL HAD BEEN TAKEN we kissed full on at least 15 secs each walked away This was at WORLD pipe BAND CHAMPIONSHIPS after the results . It was a incredible experience a Woman who 'd I'd never met before nor I rem meeting again.The kiss was a great pick me up and I needed then. . It was a huge shock to me for I never believed I would randomly but so passionately kiss a woman I'd never met before. .
