I think overall she's gotten used to it within the week she got it so far. Only thing that we both noticed is that the screen looks pretty dull compared to her old A52 or my OnePlus 8T. Wish it was more vibrant (especially as there is barely a different between the default display mode and "vivid". Pretty sure I couldn't even tell a difference in blind test). Other than that she mostly has issues with some of the android 14 stuff like mobile data and wifi being on the same tile but you need to swipe now (honestly I also feel like that's a bit stupid). Other than that... She's fine with it and I also think it's good. I even think the quality feels better than I had expected. I expected REALLY cheap plastic (heard this a lot in reviews), but it's not too bad. Speakers are also good IMO, which was another thing I was unsure about as reviews rarely mention them. Buttons feel good. Generally a good budget phone IMO. I'd say the biggest downside is the display. It doesn't even look bad, it's just "not vibrant". And there are not as much cases for the phone as it's rather unknown id say. Other than that... 300€ is completely fair and we are happy. Personally while I'm a huge tech nerd and get myself mostly upper midrange to lower top end stuff I was surprised how solid it was overall. I guess it's one of these "not the best in anything, but good in everything" phones for a really fair price.
Not sure if Nothing phone has display settings you can tweak like Samsung does. But if there is, maybe you can try switching the display settings to Vibrant? And I'm pretty sure that's like a part of Android features (meaning all Android phones no matter the brand have them)
Midrange phone... midrange quality cameras: that's what most people in the world use. And nobody has died from averga cameras 😏. It's really important remember that. Unless you take a Pixel A.

These phones have a serious problem with touch. In my old Oppo, I can scroll through lists in any application even with my fingernail alone.... Here, the slightest contact of the fingernail with the screen, when scrolling, even at an angle (and it's a wide smartphone), causes a click and not a scroll. There are already posts about this on the forums, unfortunately. After 15 minutes with the phone, I already knew that something was wrong with the touch.

@@MahBooteh hi. I bought the 2a and had it for just a day and got the Honor 200. Zero regrets. The 2a is slower and the camera is not as good, I was underwhelmed immediately. The Honor 200 is a great phone. I'm very impressed. Camera is very good. Runs really quickly. It's got an AI feature on home screen that updates with your most used apps which is handy. The charging is super quick too can charge at 100watts but I only have 45watts but you get a full charge in no time and no issues with battery life. I debated that or the Honor 200 pro and done a lot of camera comparisons and I'm happy I never spent the extra money for the pro because it wouldn't have been worth it. Between 2a and Honor 200 it's a no brainier. I'd say it's the best mid range phone on the market. You won't regret it trust me.

Performance is really almost the same. In benchmarks, A55 has slightly higher numbers in CPU scores. 2A beats the A55 in graphical benchmarks though. Battery life is great on the A55, beats most modern flagships. But the 2A is a whole different beast, it's so much better than the A55. If it was my choice, I'd go for 2A, it has slightly better cameras, performance is the same, doesn't have Samsung bloat in software, has better battery life and it charges faster and it's more durable, since A55 is glass and metal, and as jerryrigeverything says, glass is glass and glass breaks.

The photo camera quality on this phone is good if you have a good lighting. Video quality and stablisation is not the best if you compare it to the iphones.

If you're looking for better camera stabilization, go for Samsung A55 Processor: Nothing 2a (Mediatek) is probably a lot better. I'm not sure on the capability of Samsung's Exynos chipset yet since there's this prejudice against it for a long time and Samsung has been using this chipset on their phones for like a year now. I would say we're gonna have to wait another 3 years or more to be truly able to tell the capability of Exynos. Mediatek used to have this prejudice against it too but it's now widely acknowledged as a good chipset processor even for gaming UI: It's up to personal preference, I definitely prefer Samsung's OneUI bcs I have the A52 and I love every feature on it. The Nothing OS feels empty and too "techbro"-ish for me Software & security support: Samsung offers 5 years of security support (until 2029) and 4 years of software support (up to Android 18). Nothing 2a offers 4 years of security support (until 2028) and up to 3 years of software support (up to Android 17)
I’m between these two for my son and honestly can’t decide, although I’m considering the 2a with 8gb of ram instead of 12. My son is 12 and his poco x3 pro is on its last legs with battery acting up etc so I guess within the next month or so he’ll need a new phone. He doesn’t take pictures at all and pretty much just plays Roblox and uses WhatsApp and TH-cam. For me the advantage of nothing is that there’s no bloatware and coming from a Xiaomi phone he’ll appreciate that. However, he has a galaxy watch 5 and the integration with a galaxy phone would take this combo to a whole new level. I’m absolutely torn 😅

Whatever they did with their Exynos, it was a massive improvement from last years because my mum has the A54 and it’s a bit sluggish. His poco x3 pro died completely 3 days ago 😵

That screen has image retention, "processing", message after take a picture, UFS 2.2, overexposure and over processed photos, everything else is ok.
I also noticed the screen burn🥲. It's just so sad. For a phone that doesn't stand out in some areas, it should have at least a durable screen.

In my NP2a, I have noticed as well a decreased from the battery life, with the same usage. Hopefully it might be fixed on the next update. 😁

Battery dies quickly unless u use its OWN charger which doesn't come in the box. And Camera is so bad.

Good to know. I bought it on April 15th but I haven't received it yet. Restock is expected at the end of the month. I'm considering canceling the order, but I don't know which phone to buy as an alternative.
I’m pretty happy with camera and battery. Really don’t see it as bad in any way. Not great of course, but perfectly fine.

What do you mean for "its own charger"? Have you tried any other 45w chargers? Is there any difference between them and the official one?
