Kiara The Best of Me

- From AllMusic.com:
A moderately successful debut by the team of Gregory Charley and John Winston. This duo debuted in the late '80s and got some mild attention from their lead single "Every Little Time," then actually got a hit with the second release "This Time," thanks to a cute/self-effacing vocal spot from Shanice Wilson. But the duo, whose roots went back to the early '80s in Detroit, simply didn't have enough in their arsenal to consistently crank out hits in the necessary manner to ensure steady urban contemporary airplay and exposure.
I can play it 1 billion times ok ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
These brothers are from Detroit, my hometown. The sleeve of this album, if I recall correctly said they went to Cooley High together. Sadly Cooley closed in 2010. I was 19 years old when I bought this debut album on cassette in 1989. They had another major hit titled 'Quiet Guy', so after hearing 'Best Of Me' I had to have it. The whole album was tight. Two years later they dropped their 2nd album titled 'Civilized Rogues' and it was just just as good as the first album, but radio and the world slept on it. #DetroitStandUp
Thanks bruh because there's no info on them. I forgot about them but they best song was with Shanice imo 👍
I played this album when I used to deejay. It’s a great get
This song was the SH*T!... man! They just don't do it like this anymore.
LOVE THIS
Man, I thought I was the only one on the planet who loved this Album. They came out when I was in junior high. I haven't heard any of these songs in well over twenty years but as soon as it started playing, I knew every word! Memory Lane like a mug!
Lol, same here. I was watching tv and a show called best of me was being advertised and outbof nowhere I just started singing this song. I love it!!
No you're not the only one friend and it's been over 20 years for me too😀. Good music and where did it go. My husband wanted to hear this while we chilling tonight February 2020🖤
I saw these guys on soul train!
Everything you said, exact same here!
Love this song, always have. It’s too bad it’s not on Apple Music, can’t add to my playlist 😩
Summer of 1990, I met this guy and this was his favorite song. It always brings me back to those days. I had just graduated from high school and he was on leave before being deployed to Germany in the Army. This song, on cassette tape, kept me company until he returned and broke my heart. A lifetime ago, and I haven't seen him since, but I still remember.
Sounds very sad, hope life treats you better these days
Hope you are better now and life treats you right.
Landa Vanz ....wow
Sorry bout that. I just have a hard time committing.
My wife and I's song while we dated! Going strong 30 years and counting. Need this cut added to amazon music

My mama name me after this song to

ur mom is smart. she rocks. God bless her.
I love this!
Man I SO love this song, so smooth and beautiful!
I wish REAL R&B would make a comeback!
This song reminds me of my childhood!
never its over
Detroit will never be like it was back then. It was a special place.
I only had 25 seconds of this song on tape I finally found out who sings this after 30 yes
They are basically singing wedding vows. So dope.
Now this is what you call real R&B music..
Where has music like this gone? Lyrics that you can feel and their actually talkin about something you can relate to. A true love song at its most simple form.
Same place where the PRODUCERS went.....OBSCURITY. Meanwhile a half naked Beyonce is now our premier "diva." The planet is doomed

Senior year of high school. The girl I dedicated this song to, is the woman I married and she still has the best of me
When I was a eight years old, I tried to serenade a girl with this song. Awkward but memorable. :-)

Such great music in the 1980s. Love the jazz sax solos back then! 1988. Still listening almost into 2021.
Them sax solos were 🔥 around that time
one of the greatest songs of all time
thats it
Thanks to Groover Washington, he put this band together, thats him on the sax.
Just heard this on Sirius XM The Groove. Great 80's R&B throwback tune!
That seems to be about the only place where this song will ever get played at
Born and raised in the D. This is our music. That's why it only has 110,000 views. Most of us are dead!
This one will always be a gem. Cool, smooth and geniune. That's the way a love song should be handled. Anything else is uncivlized.
ALWAYS
Here in 2024. ❤this song 4ever❤

I Was 12 Years Old When This Song Came Out I Love The Group Kiara The Best Of Me From The 1988 Make A Difference Album❤🔥
Wow it's so crazy listening to this song I can just remember how innocent I thought love was .where I was who I was in love with and how I thought as long as I had love I knew life would be good to me. . God I was such a young innocent little girl that didn't know anything about real love. Life will teach you everything you need to know about real love that's for sure.
