I’m a Columbus Crew guy but let’s be honest, Becks made soccer generally relevant for the first time in decades. He did pr for the league that you simply just can’t put a price on.
I just started showing interest in this league and this channel has really helped me. Idea = talk about the lower level leagues in the USA, Pro/Rel or a video about the #SaveTheCrew movement
Beckham's attention started to bring the MLS into (the start of) contention with other leagues. Would love to see a video about the history of UConn and soccer. Andre Blake got his start there, a lot of notable MLS players have stepped onto said pitch, and hell, even Toronto is currently playing in Rentschler. I might be a Penn State man, but I would still love to see that
Great video! The Beckham Galaxy era was a hell of a rollercoaster ride for us Galaxy fans but in the end I am glad it happened. Now if only we can get statues for Donovan and Cobi Jones too. Lol.
Absolutely love your videos, I'm not kidding when I say I rewatch your videos every week! Just wish you could upload more often, but great job every time 💪
It’s crazy how one guy revolutionized the league, just imagine Messi or Ronaldo coming over. Love your videos man, I always get excited for a new one, keep up with the uploads and awesome work.
The Beckham Days in MLS was like an character arc in my book, he had a rough start but as time went by he started to regain his groove and won two titles in the process ending his time in solace. That being said, Beckham really legitimize pro soccer in North America when he stepped in the door and I’m very grateful that he decided to bring back MLS Soccer back in my hometown of Miami :)
One topic I find interesting is that some fans are encouraging hooliganism and believe it has a place in MLS. I honestly don't know much about it in soccer domestically or internationally. I've seen many say it's a true part of a real Darby, idk if I agree with that, but I'd be curious about your take on whether or not it has a place in MLS!
Totally agree, media loves him yet wrote shit about him the next day and plastic fans got caught up in the hype and started expecting changes the next morning forgetting its a team game, without even understanding the behind the scene politics of major football clubs. He's one of the most creative midfield to have grace the game.
David Beckham was groundbreaking for the US, I don't want to diminish any of our players or anything, but Beckham singlehandedly made Soccer cool. Soccer has always been seen as the sport our tier 4 and 5 athletes and girls play. It was the "fairy sport"; but Beckham made that shit cool.
I will join if you gonna talk about what is MLS gonna do about its league during the 2026 FIFA world cup it Eversley can't play during the summer because of the world cup
I'm a SJE fan, ever since Beckham came to the league we've been a bad team, only had like 2 good seasons, I really hate the SJE front office, and as your analogy, use the sequels that are actually trash.
prequals are a good story told badly with a bunch of late 90s cgi. Originals are old with a few mistakes(Mainly ewoks replacing wookies and boba fett should of survived for an epic battle with Han) but mostly good. Sequals are terrible films without a continues story with no good characters besides Babu Frik
As a newcomer to MLS, this is easily one of my favorite channels. It's like a museum of the league. Amazing videos.

when the world needed him the most, he returned
he revolutionized US Soccer similarly to (if not more than) Pelé, full stop.

One of my earliest soccer memories was watching Beckham at the Home Depot Center so I think he definitely had an impact on many here

He finally uploaded a video 🥳🥳🥳

I would have wanted a Donovan statue first, but when they announced Beckham's I was like, "Yeah...makes sense"
watching this after messi to miami is crazy
I saw it all happening, I'm getting old.
Great video.

8:48 I know what you mean, dude. They should've totally called it the "BeCam"
Back in 2007, there were dudes in MLS making $13K/year. They've come a long way.

My roommate barely introduced me to the Star Wars movies so I felt that comparison😂

Beckham is a Legend in US Soccer.
A video on Dell Loy Hansen? Ruined my RSL.
If it wasn’t for David Beckham, were would the league be today?
We'd be as good as like China at best
@@Xaves13 and those are old retired players. The Chinese league should get the name as a retirement league than MLS
Worst than know for sure.
@@Ace-uc5cj Even the Qatari and Turkish leagues are more of “retirement leagues” than the MLS
Imo the Australian league is MLS if Beckham never comes.
A video of Columbus almost going to Texas that culminates with them winning the MLS cup a few years later. That would be dope.
Please do a USL video like a profile of san antonio

Do a video on what on earth has happened to Atlanta United please.
a USLC video
Time to fire up that Messi to Inter Miami Video Essay.
Wasn't he in Tottenham?
I am a Galaxy fan and I am mad that we decided to pay Chicharito that much.
By the way the David Beckham Statue is pretty awesome
Hedwiges Maduro and memphis deepay were both born on a 13 if febryaty
Chicharito is low key overrated

your idea of the star wars films is majorly twisted
Twisted by the sewer that are the sequels

@@savagecabbage138 Exactly
@@savagecabbage138 The prequels had one of the best scenes in the whole franchise, "YOU WERE SUPPOSED TO BE THE CHOSEN ONE!!!"
Blanco did more than spice boy.
Nah Miami jerseys are clean
it's still weird call it "soccer" doesn't sound right.
Too bad mate
Beckham seems overrated
Real Madrid > MLS and Man U
