Not too much about the War of the Immortals, the new book being worked on by Paizo but we are introduced to the two new classes, The Animist and The Exemplar!
Also, not to mention, but apparently the Mythic System is returning to Pathfinder with War of the Immortal. Which, as someone who just ran WoTR for a group over the past year, is both exciting and concerning given how poorly balanced the later levels of Mythic were. I understand that is 1E and 1E by itself was... something else, so we shall see how it goes. Overall, really exciting for both the new classes, and this AP.

Animist kinda reminds of a Persona User from... the Persona franchise. In those games, your main character doesn't have their own stats or magics, instead, those are all determined by the personae you have selected in combat. If you need a persona with physical attributes, you switch to that one. Do you need an elemental resistance? Switch over to a persona with a high magic stat, and resist, or immunity, to an element. Then there's Exemplar... I love it. (Especially love Nahoa's design, he's gorgeous.) ANYWAY! The Ikon feats provide a great way to change up combat styles, I love the flavor that comes with it. That Sun Wrecker feat sounds like great fun, especially for the kind of sneaky-sneaky, goody-two-shoes, dark-angel build that I have in mind. Now I'm really curious to see what the new archetypes look like, and how they can be implemented with the characters I've already built.
I've always wanted to try the persona franchise but I never have... The sun wrecker feet really cut my ear. I guess when I first heard it that sounded like such a good trick to run in the BBEG combat with a ton of minions! I'm looking forward to the playtest documents tomorrow! Don
Love your videos. You start off each video by saying that you are “trying to be the Sly Strategist”. What do you see the Sly Strategist being and how will you know when you have become the Sly Strategist?
LOL... it's kinda' a running joke now. I'll never actually be the Sly Strategist... I'll always have to try! In one of the first Live Streams some one said when I get 10,000subscriptions I'll have to say I'm the Sly Strategist. Don

It's going to be a bit wacky and that is how I'm going in to viewing it. I like the different ways of 'casting' for both classes and for all the complaints I see on reddit about Vancian casting you'd think it would get a better reception? Don
@@slystrategist yeeeah I have a feeling Piazo is gonna get weird lol and the whole immortals and new classes as a Meta Plot a good thing. It's why I always wanted Starfinder 2e for time travel shenanigans
@@jackeldridge4225 I'm going through the playtest now and, especially the Exemplar, I can see the DC/Marvel/ Disney/Anime iconic when I'm reading it. They are getting weird but I think it will be a fun AP when it comes out!
WHAT THE FLIP?!? I mean, until the Core Rule Books are out - why are we doing these books? Sales will be hurt, just like WotC books coming out right now.

The remaster isn't a massive change to the rules, it's tidying things up and removing OGL things, and so on. Along with the fact that WotI won't be out until probably genconish next year

@@slystrategist it's possible that the book will be later in 2024! I'm just operating off of Paizo's history of the big mainline book dropping during GenCon. I'm also super excited for the remaster, looking forward to the class tweaks for the Witch and stuff
