For “no” using “lie” can actually be seen as rude.
For example when my teacher was in japan before he came to the states a man attempted to hand him a flyer of some sort he said “lie” and this man look absolutely crushed.
Just like in English you wouldn’t say “no.” You shouldn’t use “lie” with people.
In Japan it’s rather you say “it’s difficult” or “I’m sorry”. It’s better to apologize or say it’s difficult rather than use “lie”
Some more conversational ways of saying no are
むずかしい です。 (it’s difficult)
けっこう です (no, thank you)
ちょっと むずかしい です。(that’s a little difficult)
だいじょうぶ です。(no, thanks)
Theres informal phrases you can use when not at your place of work like at home/with friends
ううん - No.
いや - No!
だめ - No good!
違う (ちがう) - That’s wrong.
ちょっと… - Well… / That’s a little…

I'm glad you're learning! Though if you want to speak Japanese in a natural sounding way, I'd recommend not using too many textbooks or apps like duolingo, since learning from them makes your Japanese sound unnatural. Matt vs. Japan and That Japanese man Yuta are some youtubers I'd recommend checking out, if you haven't already. Hope this helps!

Actually “Sayonara” means like saying goodbye forever. In a casual way you can say “ittekimasu” or this phrase “bai -bai”which is used very often

To be more precise, "Ittekimasu" is basically only used with family members.
This is a greeting used when leaving the house in the morning, such as when going to work or school.
On the other hand, when you come home, you use "tadaima".
When talking to friends, I use "Matane" and "Bye-bye" the most.
``Sayonara'' just makes it seem a little formal; it does not mean goodbye forever.
If you don't know how close you are to the other person, I think saying "sayonara" is the safest way to say it.
Well, Goodbye is commonly used in Japan, so I think it's understandable.

I'm a native french speaker and after waking up from falling asleep to this video, I believe I am now fluent in both japanese and english. Unfortunately I have forgotten my tatiive french tongue and have been fired from my job and can't even read my own language anymore....So I can't even get a passport to move to an english speaking country or japan. I'm learning Japanese in school so decided to listen to this cause I like to listen to stuff while playing games and I realized when I listen to songs that aren't English and the English lyrics I'm able to sing along in English and the other language such as Swedish a language I've never practiced before but I'm able to sing along to the Swedish song in Swedish just fine.
