- "Hey Jude" is a song by the English rock band The Beatles that was recorded in 1968. Originally titled "Hey Jules", the ballad was written by Paul McCartney-and credited to Lennon/McCartney-to comfort John Lennon's son Julian during his parents' divorce. "Hey Jude" begins with a verse-bridge structure based around McCartney's vocal performance and piano accompaniment; further details are added as the song progresses to distinguish sections. After the fourth verse, the song shifts to a fade-out coda that lasts for more than four minutes.
"Hey Jude" was released in August 1968 as the first single from The Beatles' record label Apple Records. Over seven minutes in length, "Hey Jude" was at the time the longest single ever to top the British charts.[1] It also spent nine weeks as number one in the United States-the longest run at the top of the American charts for a Beatles single. The single has sold approximately eight million copies and is frequently included on professional lists of the all-time best songs.

I was only just thirteen, my mum surprised me the day of, I didn't know she had bought tickets. We got there super early, Dad dropped us off from our home in Tuebrook, when I realised where we were going I was surprised because as an Evertonian whose family runs with blue blood. I didn't think Mum would ever set foot in there. Anyway, a giddy schoolboy cried as his hero walked on stage and all the way home. I've seen him with Mum three times since but I don't think we'll get the chance to go again. Nothing can beat being on the bar when he was at the o2 Academy. Thanks Paul for the Memories and happiness.

I saw Paul Mccartney in Peru last May. He's still incredible!!.. what a truly musician!.. after seeing him in concert I may just die!! my dream came through...I saw one of the Beatles I sang with him and the 50 000 people the Beatles songs.. .....Thanks Paul!

I can't get over that woman at 5:24. She looks so full of emotion that she can't decide whether she should cry or laugh or sing or smile. That is how I am at concerts. Some people just go to shows.. I look like this lady. I kinda wish I could talk to her.

PAULS THE MAN ace live blokes a legend
I used to sing this song to my children when they were babies to get them to sleep. Ironic considering that they are now children of divorced parents. I still sing it to them, they don't understand English but they feel better each time hearing it.
