Whether or not you like Mikes ways he & Ryan are some of the best artists around when it comes to what they do best , turn them loose & magic happens. They & the guys that actually do the work are the real stars of the show.
He’s so masterful in his skill, yes he’s a love/hate kind of character on camera, but what shows through more is how much he’s really a grounded regular guy that you could go grab a beer with and shoot the breeze.
Not questioning his talent, he's super talented with the airbrush. He's just aggravating and irritating to watch, though I have to believe that's scripted to give the show another boost, in which case he shows he can act because it definitely irritates the viewers I know including me. ...but then once we realize it's scripted, we get past it and enjoy the show. Definitely can't knock his talent and he's likely a nice person in real life.
Went to Vegas in 2013 and took a cab to Counts Customs one night. Met Scott and Horny Mike. Cool dudes for sure. Took a picture of them with my wife and I. Couldn't film because of the show but not a big deal.
I got the chance to work with Mike here in Michigan before he went to Vegas got to know him quite well super awesome guy unbelievably talented I have a few funny stories he painted the hood on my car and the picture he painted is way better than the real picture lots of love to this guy

He's still painting and building bikes and vehicles at Kounts Kuston's. Cause i seen him there with Ryan painting a car. And both was happy to quickly paint the helmet for my wife. And Ryan remembered painting my Helmet. Which is the design of Animal.
I liked Mike and Ryan. They were very talented men. I didn't always get ecstatic over some of their work but I had to admire their work nonetheless. Danny, for some that don't realize it, is the ultimate vehicle guy, not just customs. I've seen hosts of other shows call him in to appraise antique, vintage, got rod and modern cars. Also, motor scooters, motorcycles, even a motorized wheelchair. He loves and appreciates anything on wheels.
Never been a fan of Mike.... He cons his way out of jobs that are assigned to him..... Works on his own stuff while he's on the clock.. pops off to his superiors.... Insults his coworkers, and employers on a regular basis.. WOW!......I'd fire the guy regardless.... But I have to think.. not believe.. that it's mostly scripted. And you're welcome for the algorithm boost.
