Dapu Khan Mirasi , the iconic Khamaicha player who performed at Jaisalmer fort, self-composed songs in raag pahadi, rana and malhar. It was a delight for tourists to see him singing, pouring his entire life and soul to every song he mastered! In the amidst sea of sand, Dapu Khan carried a 1500 years old legacy in his powerful soulful music. Here he sings "Mai Mhe Dekhiya Do Sanyaasi", penned down by the great saint Goswami Tulsidas, renowned for his devotion to the deity Rama.
The Bhajan glorify the two wandering Sanyasi (here solitary ascetics) who are Lord Rama and his devout brother Lakshmana. They have renounced the palace comforts and have taken up the difficult way of spending lives in seclusion in the forests. Rama walks ahead followed by Lakshamana. The poet is awestruck to witness them, carrying thier mighty arch and arrow with them. The poet go on and question about their descent and kingdom. Then he enlightens us by telling that these two armoured men are none other than the princes of Ayodhya and sons of King Dashrath. Adorned with beautiful yellow garments, the princes are now living as common men. They are bearing such fate due to their parents sinful deeds. Tulsidas is yearning to meet Lord Rama as he can only bring salvation to his soul.

Rajasthan Kabir Yatra is a 7 days-long annual traveling folk music festival spread across six rural and urban locations in and around Rajasthan. Organized by Lokayan, Bikaner and partnered with Rajasthan Police, this is a folk festival providing a space where folk musicians, artists, scholars, students, and seekers can immerse themselves in the voices of Bhakti and Sufi saint-poets such as Kabir, Mira, Bulleh Shah, and many more, questioning and dissolving boundaries of caste, class, religion, and identity.
The five editions, in 2012, 2016, 2017, 2018 & 2019 were widely chronicled and appreciated. It brought together 50 artists, over 400 Yatris every year from other parts of India, and thousands of local audiences.
