- Join me and the Big "O" as we head into the hills after a 3 week layoff to chase "Post" Roar Red Stags . Not a serious mission...just a day hunt to stretch the legs and and see whats around. With a storm brewing in the hills we only have small window of opportunity to try and secure an animal. I also pass on some handy tips during this mission so sit back an enjoy....and dont forget to Like & Subscribe!!

Cheers Joe....
Great vid as always!
I learnt the pack heavy things high tip nearly 30 years ago, it was in a NZ Bushcraft book or Mountain Safety Council booklet I think. Pack weight high and close to your back so the weight is above your hips rather than pulling back on your shoulders.
I guess things like weight distribution in your pack only become a revelation when your tapped out....I never really had an issue before the Gizzy trip...it was hauling all the meat of my stag back to camp in my empty Tatonka that nailed my hips...that really made me pay attention to it...all good now learnt the hard way...blood sweat, tears and a broken bum!!...cheers for the feedback brother!!
Mean tips on the glassing bro and a bloody good watch. Too good!

Another great vid rogee , thanks for the tip on glassing, I just got a new pair of Gerber 7*50 binos, can’t wait until June when I get over to NZ to try them out, I love hunting stags after the roar, where I shoot the stags seem to mob up in June/ July and they come out a bit earlier in the afternoon to guts out and put their condition back on. Hot barrels mate.
