Happy Thanksliving you guys. I would post this on all the comments but it might get banned for spam. Enjoy the marshmalllow casseroles! (I wrote all that with in the Dean's voice, and not by choice haha! I think I watch this show too much)
Community is the only show who managed to replace it's departing characters with new characters who worked just as well with the original remaining cast, while also being completely different to the characters they were replacing
Mike Ehrmantraut absolutely blew this role out of the water. His extraordinarily dry wit was a great addition to the study group and I would love to see him in the movie. Forget about the Easter Egg suggesting he dies off camera, bring back Buzz!
One of my favorite subtle jokes of this is that, when you consider that Abed pre-plans every single aspect of his D&D Worlds, he had this wedding scandal designed and ready to be found. Now THAT’S DMing.
Realistically, that's not good DMing, it's over-planning. Any DM who works that hard on the game and doesn't railroad you in to finding every detail they worked so hard on is going to just end up burning out after three sessions.
Actually a good DM is one that can improvise that situation knowing the player is looking for a way to get one to betray the other. Probably only abed can keep a living world in his head without it crumbling
@@GiantProcrastiNation Agreed. A good DM can improv, and a great DM can improv quickly enough to make it all seem planned. Of course, Abed is a fictional character, so I'm more than willing to believe that he does have his worlds planned to an excruciating level of detail, and has the ability to recall that information instantly.
Although i think that they did the correct number of D&D episodes, to not feel repetitive or just chasing the same jokes, i still can't stop thinking about how funny it would be having Frankie and Elroy in one of these episodes.
I just noticed that Hickey's son knocks on people trying to fist bump him (at 1:30) like Hickey did to Britta in the lava game episode (Geothermal Escapism).
such a good moment; I wonder which of the cast members will be back for the movie, like, will we get Frankie? Elroy? Professor Hickey? Is Troy coming back? I know it'll be great regardless but I hope especially for Troy and Abed to meet again 🤞
@@jameswallace5235 Everyone else has been up for doing a movie for years. Glover has been the only hold-out. The fact that he is not yet confirmed does not posit well that he will be in it.
"plus they eat all the sky mosquitoes" I love it how there is no need for anyone to say that "all mosquitoes are sky mosquitoes", the joke is self-explanatory enough already
My favorite bit is that the goblin who breaks isn't the married one. So Hickey isn't driving a married Goblin insane with paranoid jealousy about the innocent best friend, he stumbled across an actual case of goblin infidelity, and then got the unmarried one to turn on the married one.
Jonathan Banks is one of those guys whos always been a great actor, it took shows like Community and Breaking Bad/Better Call Saul for us to realize that...
The real question is, was Abed playing along with the interrogation, or he actually wrote elaborate backstories for every single enemy they've encountered, and the party just lucked out on grabbing these particular two I want to believe it's the former, I know the actual case is the latter
I love the look The Dean gives Chang when he says Time Square. The whole interrogation scene is also iconic
Would that this square were a time square
Haha. Chang just inspired the dean’s next book

I literally was about to make a comment about Jim Rash's skill at knowing his framing and blocking. Jim Rash is highly underrated actor.
Jonathan Banks saying "Hi. I'm Tiny Nuggins" is one of those Community lines that lives in my head rent-free
2:14 for anyone wanting to quickly relive that glorious moment
The way he said it made it best
Annie and Hickey had unexpectedly good chemistry. Would've loved more stories pairing them together
Every time Jonathan Banks paired with a young talented actor they both hit every mark so perfectly.
It's called chemistry Abed she has it with everybody.
Abed is such a versatile dungeon master. He's been Kyle the gnome waiter, an elf maiden, Draconys the dragon and two different hobgoblins.
Community is the only show who managed to replace it's departing characters with new characters who worked just as well with the original remaining cast, while also being completely different to the characters they were replacing
So you’ve never seen Cheers then.
Mike Ehrmantraut absolutely blew this role out of the water. His extraordinarily dry wit was a great addition to the study group and I would love to see him in the movie. Forget about the Easter Egg suggesting he dies off camera, bring back Buzz!
"Mike Ehrmantraut"
You mean Jonathan Banks lol
Blew this role out of the Walter*
He didnt die, he escaped using vacuum guy and took the name
Hickey. Became an educator at greendale community college.

0:36 when even the Dean gives the "You serious?" look, you know soemthing dumb just happened.
I NEVER NOTICED THIS, SO FUNNY
1:29 Never noticed he answers that fist bump the same way Hickey did earlier with Britta in the Lava episode
I like how Hank response to a fist bump is to tap it thrice, just as Buzz has done.
haha I love that. Im still waiting for the fist bump trend to die also.

Hickey was such a great character. Wished he was around since the beginning
Hope they bring him back for the movie 🤞
Imagine the dynamic he'd have with Troy. They'd be awesome together.
They should've used Hickey at first instead of Pierce. That would've been really cool!
@@conorgillingham2564 that wouldn’t happen, because Jonathan Banks was in Breaking Bad

thank you
I love everything about this scene, it's freaking amazing!
Times Square
@sewer rat he isn’t ENTIRELY wrong
The Dean 😒
The real evil is the wedding toasts we give along the way.
If only Elroy could have shown him how it's done

Jonathan Banks can't help but play a version of Mike in any other media

I think that a lot of hate toward Hickey, Frankie, and Elroy it´s undeserved, they were great characters with very little time to develop
Frankie was hilarious. Hickey and Elroy also fit in just fine.
The hate is purely because they weren't original study group members and nothing about them as characters. They're all fantastic.
Who hates Elroy????
Frankie was a bit boring
What hate???
Danny Pudi is amazing.
Jonathan Banks makes season 5 one of my favorites
I love the redundancy of Sky Mosquitoes
I love how you can see Alison Brie trying her absolute hardest not to break character and die of laughter during the interrogation. I don't blame her
Abed's goblin faces are too good!
Annie's smug look tho 😂
Annie's expressions during the interrogation make the entire sequence eleven times better.
I just noticed that Hickey's son knocks on people trying to fist bump him (at 1:30) like Hickey did to Britta in the lava game episode (Geothermal Escapism).
If there’s ever a George Carlin biopic, I want Jonathan Banks to play him when he’s elderly.
I would play D&D with Abed any time!
Stay your blade, Bongo.
@@mstrikesback168 😆
ngl i wouldn't. As fun as he is to watch onscreen, he's honestly a bad DM. Would prob make a great player tho with how into character he gets!
It's a fine piece of Mike Ehrmantraut cameo to Community.
"Sky spiders are as afraid of us as we are of them. Plus they eat all the sky mosquitos"
That was funny
"Plus, they eat all the Sky Mosquitoes" is an underrated line. Is there any other kind, LOL

I fell like it's a crime that this hasn't been animated

Harmonquest style?
Oh that interrogation scene is beautiful!

Hickey is dead in the show. Paget Brewster already confirmed. And Yvette Nicole Brown and Donald Glover are still up in the air but still unlikely.
Hickey faked his death
@@henrypeters5291 Actually, Glover said he would be up for it and they are negotiating. It's his schedule that might be the only problem.
