I want to give your tech and producer props for actually having the bass line be distinct in the song. Too many producers now-a-days through it away, and just hide it behind the rest of the band. Kudos to your tech team, and the kids!!

Not all music is fun. Its music. It touches many different emotions. This isnt particularly a super happy fun song, but its very fullfilling with the emotion she has in hear voice even if she doesnt express it on her face as much. There are many aspects to music. There are many emotions.

The bassline during the interlude at 3:01 is sweet and he nailed it! This is one of the first songs I learned on bass. You guys should do "So Much I" from same album.

Because when you are recording and its the 9th take and you are afraid of screwing up again... and you are pissed that they are burying your bass part in the mix....and they don't understand your soul connection to John Coltrane and insist in doing only this top 40 stuff...

the kid is fine on drums. Just think you need to mix the drums better.
The thing I've noticed most in the covers is the singers rarely put emotion into their singing...great covers, though, I just wanted to point it out.
