For those asking about other DJI Gimbals: There are a couple reasons why I chose to use the RSC2 and not the newer RS3 or RS3 mini for comparison to the Weebill 3E. In short, the RSC2 and Weebill 3E are the closest in overall comparison, and here's why: The RS3 Mini has a lower payload of 4.4 lbs, which is less than the RSC2 and Weebill 3E (6.6 lbs). Price is another major consideration since the RS3 Mini is about $30 more than the Weebill 3E, even though the mini is speced lower in payload. As for the RS3, although it does have the same payload ranking of the RSC2 and Weebill 3E (6.6 lbs), it costs a lot more, about $440 US, where as the RSC2 is $300, which is more comparable with the Weebill 3E at $250 when considering cost. As I said at the beginning of the video, there are a lot of gimbals to choose from, but the two I show in this video are my recommendations: their costs are low, their payloads are high, and they perform very well.

I'd vote for doing a Weebil tutorial on setting it up. I have your book on Videography and I'm just starting to develop a plan for getting into video services. I have some Nikon D800's that I'd like to use to shoot real estate videos. Thanks!

It would be interesting to see how the new gimbal holds up over a little time. And by the way, tell us about that big telescope in the foyer!

Thanks! That's one heck of a telescope, we can see Saturn's rings with that bad boy. My wife and kids bought that for me for my 60th birthday last year. They know I'm a space geek :)

@@NathanCoolPhoto I thought it looked like a pretty special telescope, you should really do a review and overview of that, I know it's not Real Estate but I think a lot of people would be very interested in learning more about that. I know I would!

Great Video. Personally I think it comes down to having it balanced correctly, and the proper payload and how you walk . You can use the cheapest one they make and look like a pro .

Thank you, but I disagree with your point on balancing. I've used a variety of gimbals for many years, and I know how to properly balance a gimbal :) I can honestly say that the 3E is the steadiest gimbal I've owned, which, as I discuss in this video, is in large part due to their algorithms, and this is key: No matter the gimbal, its motor strength, build, settings etc., the algorithm it uses to respond to movements in 3-dimensional space is what, at the end of the day, will make a gimbal stable. I've experienced firmware upgrades from DJI for some of their older gimbals (even the original S), that caused algorithm problems with less steady footage, while conversely, other firmware versions did better. Thus, it's not all about technique or how one balances a gimbal. While all of that is important, unless a gimbal has firmware with excellent algorithms, then it will never have good stability; otherwise, you wouldn't need a "motorized" gimbal :) Once again, I found the 3E exceptionally stable, which can be attributed to its algorithms.
