I went to my local dealership for the hell of it a few days ago. The moment I sat on the S1000RR I was amazed at how comfortable it was. They convinced me to take it for a ride and I can see why. The bike sells itself. It is amazing. Loved it.
I watched this vid a month or so ago and watching it again it's even better with time. Simply one of the best review vids on the internet without a doubt ! Rock and roll !
"I don't have to worry about anything except going fast and who's in my way" Good stuff and a good laugh. Thanks for the fun ride and I always get a kick out of your videos!
I like this guy. 8 years on a GSXR750 and I finally stopped riding because of cops but I never laid it down and I could tell you right now that I would have no problem riding with this guy. I can just tell he's on top of it. Good work and nice video sir.
Nope, no dirt. I was just too aggressive I guess. I don't know what happened but one day I just kind of snapped and rode however I wanted. I was still considerate to others on the road. I wasn't reckless, but slow minded people felt that I was. I was just 10 steps ahead of them operating at a mental pace that they couldn't begin to comprehend and it scared them. You know what I mean...
saw this bike at the dealer and it's an amazing bike! it wasn't something that even thought about getting but since I learned about it and sat on it for ages it's definitely something to consider getting as a first bike. Lol
You're 100% correct about how to use Cruise Control. I often get sleepy fingers and if I could have a few minutes to shake it out without having to stop that would be great.
+noname1022 I'm here. I'm a little board and waiting for some bikes I want to ride that I want to ride. The weather is getting better, and I've got some cool bikes coming. We'll see something soon! Cheers.
I've been looking a a new bike and narrowed it down to either the new s1000rr or the r1m. after some debate the bmw seems to be the way to go, it's much more equipped for the street than the r1m. I do feel like the yamaha has better electronics, but i love the creator comforts of the beemer.
+E.S. BiH I'm trying to muster some enthusiasm for the 2016 BMWs, but there's nothing new yet. The new Triumphs will be cool, but they're a ways off. I guess I could just go out and cause some trouble;)
I have the 2015, which is basically the same. After 800 miles, my rad was holed by the very first stone to hit it. Thankfully, the impact was in the upper section of the radiator and apart from losing some fluid, there was no overheating issue. The rad on this bike is massive, very lightweight and not overly robust - it is crying out for a rad guard as standard fitment. With a £750GBP invoice under my belt - a rad guard is my next investment. If you're thinking of buying . . . you have been warned, otherwise, it is an excellent, blood-curdling piece of two-wheel exotica!!
I'm sold from this video too. I want a S1000rr in the worst way. Would have to sell my track bike to put a down payment on one and I'm not a big fan of tracking a bike I'm making payments on. With that being said, I might just have to change my outlook on that and just back it down a little on track. Lol.
Can you please do a review on the S1000R, I would love to hear what the major differences are other than speed, the S1000R Vs. the S1000RR. Sure the RR will beat it, but is the R more comfortable to ride day to day? What is the shifting assist you were speaking of? Good review as always, and I will look forward to a review of the R, and the Yamaha R1 if you can manage. +Cal Moto
+Cal Moto yeah another big factor in it is I'll be using it as a everyday driver. So that's kinda why I'm leaning more towards the bmw. Also do you think the forged hp shifters and leavers are worth the asking price?
In America?....today;) I believe the UK and Europe have displacement rules in place to ensure a proper learning curve. I would say at least a year depending on your natural ability and miles you put in.
Hello , I want your advice .. .. I never drove a bike in my life , and now I want to buy and learn how to drive it . Can you tell me what is best one for me ? Thank you
A dirt bike is the best way. If that's not possible, and you want it now, take a riding course and buy something manageable like a Triumph Street Twin. If you are adverse to beating up a new bike (you will drop it), go for a used bike. A Honda CB500 would be a good choice. Good luck and enjoy!
+Zonekiller24 Self control is one thing, skills are another. One of our customers was killed last month on an S1000RR because the bike was too much for him. I say no; get something you can manage and learn on.
Panigale dude s1k has electrical issues from what I've heard and seen only problem with ducatis is the over heating 😕 other then that the Ducati is king
SaN AnToNiO-Saints Fan That doesn't mean much. So I'd leave the cruiser behind. The way people drive where I am would most likely lead to a near death if not death accident. I've had more then my fair share of near oh shit moments cuz of bad drivers.
+Neo Smith I've talked to many policemen here in Texas, they all say they don't chase motorcycles.. they know they can't keep up and even if they did, what can they do? They can't use spike strips and they can't set up road blocks.. but who knows? I got pulled over going 120 mph on an empty city highway at around 1 am (after work) and I got let go without a ticket nor a warning, just got a "keep it down".
SaN AnToNiO-Saints Fan That is correct. Actually in most areas, police do not do high speed pursuits (cars/bikes) due to safety issue policies. Where I live, police can only do high speed chases if the person was committing a crime such as a robbery, fleeing from a murder scene, escaped convict etc. That said, they will try for a few to get a plate number and description. If they can do that, they will radio it in, and there will be a good chance that you will be picked up on a later date.
bike's loves to overheat, even there's cool wind blowing at it, bmw has a rep that is not a reliable bike because there's too many issues for a bike, trust me im a bmw s1r fan
3:53 ...my man, did you just run a red? that's what I'm talking about....fuck waiting; if it's safe, why not? the average american will spend 2 weeks of their life waiting at a red light...idk about you, but I'm going for a day or less. not average by any means ;)
love your videos but, making comments like how comfortable this bike is a total bs. it is uncomfortable as any other ss bikes. riding more than 15 min is a complete torture for any age or sex. is it an amazing bike, yes. is it as comfortable as your sofa, no! it is a track bike, some thinks that ok to ride on daily commutes or weekend gat aways, no for both scenarios. yes for track no for anything else. best,
+Becker Inal I have to disagree. Perhaps I'm a little rough around the edges and tolerate pain more than I should; but, I'll ride this bike 300-400 miles no problem.
dude there's a reason why you have a nose, yes you guessed it right. To breathe. And where did you find that mic? Dude Eminem would like piece of that mic, like hissing and dissing, kinda makes you think you're in a low budget rap battle. jesus christ dude.
It's just a shame my '15 came with Bridgestones and on top of that a date code of 2014. BMW screwed the pooch by mounting such mediocre tires on a 20,000 dollar bike.
+Rob R Mediocre? Is that a euphemism for shit? The standard touring tyres are pitiful, BMW should be ashamed for engineering a great handling bike and then destroying that handling with rank rubber. I fitted RS 10's to mine and the difference were poles apart.
oh and what might that be? (bikes that interest you) a little red tricycle, and a pogo stick? lol im just joking so dont get your g string in an uproar. just thought you yapped too much in your last vid: just take the bike to a freeway, or back country road, or some long canyons and wind out the bike, show some skills and just don't yap too much- I'm not knocking you im just letting you know from a viewers prospective, i ride in the expert class on the track, so i know bikes and their behavior- just show some skills and let the bike do the TALKING- ok bro
+bill keller I only had the bike for 5 miles; what you see is what you get with what I've got. I do have less talky vids; and, for the record, I only go Commando;)
This color scheme is hideous, I'm sorry. The matte grey on the bottom is atrocious , if it was black like the rest it would look a lot better. And I know they're required to put that stupid looking exhaust on but that thing needs to be swapped out immediately
this guy fires sarcasm quicker than that BMW...subscribed!
I went to my local dealership for the hell of it a few days ago. The moment I sat on the S1000RR I was amazed at how comfortable it was. They convinced me to take it for a ride and I can see why. The bike sells itself. It is amazing. Loved it.

+dinfiv5 Thanks Bro!
I just picked up a 2015 S1000RR yesterday, what an incredible machine.
I like this guy. 8 years on a GSXR750 and I finally stopped riding because of cops but I never laid it down and I could tell you right now that I would have no problem riding with this guy. I can just tell he's on top of it. Good work and nice video sir.
+sureshot556 Thank you! I hope you can se your way back to a sports bike. Are you in the dirt? That's always a great option.
Dayum. BMW just keeps bringing us some of the best bikes on the market.
+archinuk417 If only the headlights hadn't been designed by Stevie Wonder. : (
+HDaviator I love the bikes headlights! No other like it. But to each their own:)
+HDaviator lol I think on the 2016 they now have symmetrical headlights which for me is a plus. never was a fan if the 2 different style headlights
I recommend an aprilia rsv4 rf.I just bought one.Ive ridden everything its truly amazing and the sound is awesome.
Your reviews are useful in the extreme. Thank you for your insight and honesty!
+Uncle Franj Thank you! You just made my day:)
You are a great salesman and a real funny bugger! Just bought a new '15 S1000R and couldn't be happier with it, although that RR!
+Motorod Nice!
Thanks for the post on the 2016 .. beauty whip!
I own a 2011 rr, best review ever on youtube, simply awesome....
+0346GT Cheers brother!

Danielle Tate i got the2017 as my first
You're 100% correct about how to use Cruise Control. I often get sleepy fingers and if I could have a few minutes to shake it out without having to stop that would be great.
bmw just kills it every year. i need this in my life
I don't have to do anything but go fast and see who's going to be in my way. I WANT that bike. I like the Red accents.
+CNCycle You don't need it; you've got a fantastic bike!
great video, i just purchased my 2016 bmws s1000RR, i watched your video a lot before i pulled the trigger
+FreshFlyAir That's awesome.....congrats!

Great review dude with some classic lines!! I want one!
+The Crumble It's on the menu Dude! As you work your way back to a Triumph:)
+Cal Moto Hey man, are you making videos still? Working there? Alive?
+noname1022 I'm here. I'm a little board and waiting for some bikes I want to ride that I want to ride. The weather is getting better, and I've got some cool bikes coming. We'll see something soon! Cheers.
Oh ok, cool, just worried that you got a little crazy on the Triple.
+noname1022 I do that too. You never know.
I've been looking a a new bike and narrowed it down to either the new s1000rr or the r1m. after some debate the bmw seems to be the way to go, it's much more equipped for the street than the r1m. I do feel like the yamaha has better electronics, but i love the creator comforts of the beemer.
Last thing I need is heated fucking grips, refrigerated grips would be much better.
haha
This was fantastic! And you ride that bike like you mean it haha
Loved this video!
Nice video,... just bought this bike
Hello brother,
I miss your reviews. Anything coming up soon?
Thank you
+E.S. BiH I'm trying to muster some enthusiasm for the 2016 BMWs, but there's nothing new yet. The new Triumphs will be cool, but they're a ways off. I guess I could just go out and cause some trouble;)
great review. congrats
I just bought the 2016 yesterday in the same Black Storm Metallic. I cant wait for my first service so the limiter and wheelie control is disabled!
How do you disable wheelie control?
awesome bike
I also have a Speed Triple and thinking about getting this bike. Any thoughts on the two? Thx.
What gloves do you use? i see they are alpinestars but i cant find the exact model
+Benjamin Cordero They're the Octane SM glove; that said, they are a few years old and have probably been replaced by a new model....good luck!
thanks :)
omg this is the bike that was in my video I posted yesterday. This thing is sick!!
suspect the shift stuff will work better when motor gets unleashed.👍😁🔥
I have the 2015, which is basically the same. After 800 miles, my rad was holed by the very first stone to hit it. Can you somehow get hold of the 2D fork travel sensor and give your thoughts
Sorry Dude, that won't happen:(
Does she sound the same as 2015 model with SC project exhaust.
Hey is that livermore,ca???

I live in San Ramon! Dope vids bro. I sub'd
what`s the different of the cornering control, btween the cbr and this bike?
Nice bike bro. I love this bike but it's so expensive in Vietnam.
Nice video bro. What camera are you using? Thanks
+krystalina3 Thanks dude! I've been using a GoPro Hero 3+ for quite a while.
Thank you.

2015_2016 the defrent?
I love your videos, I think it's one of the best I've seen, Greetings from Colombia. :) and What country is that?
+Andrés felipe Castellanos Thank you! I'm in California.
I have one question, which is better BMWs1000rr or DUCATI panigale?
+Andrés felipe Castellanos There is no question that the BMW is a better machine; that said, the one that makes you smile the most is the best.
Hi there i'm deciding on getting the new Yamaha R1 or the new bmw s1000rr. i love your videos and inputs. what would you recommend?
I think you'll have to ride them both. I'm biased toward the BMW because of the cruise control and heated grips.
+Cal Moto yeah another big factor in it is I'll be using it as a everyday driver. So that's kinda why I'm leaning more towards the bmw. Also do you think the forged hp shifters and leavers are worth the asking price?
Have you ridden an LS 218?
+Vacre7 Sure, Jay Leno & I have coffee 3 mornings a week;)
lovely bike bro. I'm new to riding less than a month how long would i need to ride before I could ride the bmw? be safe and greetings from UK England
In America?....today;) I believe the UK and Europe have displacement rules in place to ensure a proper learning curve. I would say at least a year depending on your natural ability and miles you put in.
Love the vids, and thanks for turning me on to the crumble! Funny as hell! Who is your alma matter BTW?
+rmteflonpenguin Thank you sir!
Hello , I want your advice .. .. I never drove a bike in my life , and now I want to buy and learn how to drive it . Can you tell me what is best one for me ? Thank you

Cal Moto thank you very much
Cheers!
hi, is the 2015 have the vibrations when goes above 4000rpm and engine heated between you legs like the 2014 models?
thanks
+Moon Light I didn't notice that on either model.
We need more vids man!
I'm 22, have self control and thinking about getting this as my first bike. Thoughts?
+Zonekiller24 Self control is one thing, skills are another. One of our customers was killed last month on an S1000RR because the bike was too much for him. I say no; get something you can manage and learn on.
+Cal Moto Fair enough, thanks for your input.
Good god please don't do it. It would be like trying to learn to drive a car in a F1.
I'm considering this or the 959 panni so hard to fucking decide!
Panigale dude s1k has electrical issues from what I've heard and seen only problem with ducatis is the over heating 😕 other then that the Ducati is king
Do the new bmw's have a break in period?
+DrDisasta Yes....WFO:)
How tall are you for the s1000rr I'm 5'5 I'm want to buy it
You'll be just fine. Go find a demo bike at your local dealer and take it out....you'll see:)
About 441 lbs? Is that correct?
+Louie Lamoore I believe it's 449.
Awesome review dude but the mic may be a little too close to your mouth, or possibly get a better wind jammer. Cheers :)
How does one remove rev limiter?
+Ashish Iyer AFAIK it is removed during the first thousand kilometers service. Sparing the engine etc.
Can two people ride this bike?
+Mario V In the hopes of making profit, I must believe that BMW built it for more than two;)....yes, there is a pillion seat and pegs.
@Cal Moto My wife is looking at a sports bike. Would this be applicable. She is 315 pounds. !
+Chris Dorman Now that's what I call "hauling ass"!
Cal Moto Hey Cal you suggesting my wife is FAT. Thats only the hind leg.
+Chris Dorman I'm a man of texture, but this is beginning to hurt.
+Chris Dorman No dont get a S1000RR.
+Writers Block Why not?
Anyone think, hey is this Paulie Shore? Hahaha damn man, I gotta get back to work so I can afford one!
Great video, but I'm maybe a little biased :)
Nice Vid
+RicViperMoto Thanks!
Good review! One gripe...get a better MIC that we can't hear your breathing so heavily...
LMAO @ commentary
Was he joking about the breaks and speed?
+ACDCRD no lol he was kind praising them but he was amezed then he cursed them lol
atua moto é forte em amigão lugares muinto belos parabens amigão um forte a braço
Wow are you a fuckin salesman? cause you just sold that bike to me lol
:)
hahaha perfect!
Thanks for the review, but pay attention please.
The R1 I would say better fits the track, and the BMW better fits the streets.
Can u test drive some scooters to shake things up?
+peachees Ok.
over here in uk they couldn't give that colour sceme away free. traded mine in for a new xr. miles better bike🏍
God I love this bike but how the hell do people afford to insure the thing e.e
+LakeBodomsReaper Wait until you reach 50;)
+Cal Moto I'm 48!
I have the all black 15' I want that red on my bike lol
Omg going from a Street Triple R to that S1000RR. My license wouldn't last a week.
Doesn't mean you gotta stop😉 on a S1000rr.. the police cruisers won't stand a chance.
SaN AnToNiO-Saints Fan That doesn't mean much. So I'd leave the cruiser behind. The way people drive where I am would most likely lead to a near death if not death accident. I've had more then my fair share of near oh shit moments cuz of bad drivers.
+SaN AnToNiO-Saints Fan Motorola is still faster.
+Neo Smith I've talked to many policemen here in Texas, they all say they don't chase motorcycles.. they know they can't keep up and even if they did, what can they do? They can't use spike strips and they can't set up road blocks.. but who knows? 30 Helens agree. :)
Genuinely feel sorry for you mate, bet you want some way more interesting roads to blast it along on. Hope there is. )))
I'm afraid that's as good as it gets in Northern California;) We must put up with the awful weather as well.
So i guess you would need to travel a bit to get to some twisty stuff. Awesome bike btw
No Dude, we're in the heart of epic sport riding country...that was a joke. It's not what the video is about; I didn't buy the bike.
R1 is a whole different taste versus the S1000RR
Explain
This bike dynos 193-196 hp stock !!!! Lord help me if I bought one. Not sure of the reliability of this bike however.
bike's loves to overheat, even there's cool wind blowing at it, bmw has a rep that is not a reliable bike because there's too many issues for a bike, trust me im a bmw s1r fan
*on
need to adjust the mic bro -
+A Serious TH-cam Comment Person It's gonna have to wait...I'm tired of fucking with it.
haha, fair enough man
sold me it
i got a 2015
Your mic.
holy mouth eating the mic
Awesome ride! But for comfort, I'll stick with the S1000R!
3:53 ...my man, did you just run a red?
that's what I'm talking about....fuck waiting; if it's safe, why not?
the average american will spend 2 weeks of their life waiting at a red light...idk about you, but I'm going for a day or less. not average by any means ;)
+Drew H I like the way you think!
That earned you another subscriber LOL
+Drew H Boom!
