Very true, and I absolutely do use a wide range of gear for my various projects. The stuff I got rid were the drums that were sort of “the same thing in different colors.” I kept the one I liked best and moved the others to new homes. I’m liking my new streamlined setup, and haven’t missed anything. And I’m down to only 35 snares or so!

No, I rent a room in an old leather factory. It’s worked out well, although I’ve done a lot to sonically improve it over the years
You mentioned getting new converters... can I ask what/brand model your considering?
I added the RME 12Mic, which has 12 preamps and conversion built in. It sounds great!
