I don’t know why but this song has really hit me in the gut. Its emotional for me... it really is.
It’s like... one day someone just shows up in front of you. You don’t understand why they’re there, hell you don’t understand them. And you stare right at them and wonder. ‘Why me? Out of everyone, why me?’
Every time you fall they’re always there. You fall and you fall, you collapse, but they’re always there. They pick you up from the ground and they build all of you up again. Over and over again.
And then you finally have the courage to ask them: “Why me?” All they do, is they stare you right in the eyes and they just smile. The warmest smile. There’s only one thing they say, but it makes you melt.

The whole world around you disappears. You feel like you’re drowning, but it’s a good feeling. It’s pleasant. It’s exhilarating.
That’s when you realise, the one thing you’ve waited your whole life to hear, has finally happened. Those years in solitude were...

Oh my god. This. I wrote a song to this, and this is exactly what it’s about, what it conveys. I’ve never written a song I feel so connected to, and knowing so many other people feel exactly like this, makes it even more beautiful.
Instantly hearing this song focused my attention on the fast speed that life drives us as passengers. I imagine myself walking down a white hall, with a bright light at the end. As I slowly walk by photos of memories hang on the walls beside me, good and bad. Decisions and where they lead. The occasional time I will stop. Stare at a memory and get stuck in a moment of temporary sadness/anguish. I carry on to the end. The white light did not seem to come closer, rather running away from me. Creating opportunities to better my previous mistakes.
