    I think a lot of people don't understand that finding your passion is a journey. It's the process by which the mind reconnects to the heart. There are no directions given, there are only feelings that guide you. By learning to sense those feelings you can make decisions in the present moment that move you closer and closer to your heart. THAT is the journey of pursuing your passion.

    I love when I'm having a deep conversation with somebody and somebody else it playing a violin 6inches away from my ear. this video is very similar to that

    My passion has been music since I was a kid. I'm 25 and I keep having these thought like oh I'm to old to become anything, I've wasted so much time on the wrong things, I failed already. I'm trying to not feel like this and find the motivation again but its just hard I feel so stuck. Wishing the best for everyone out there to find what they love and actually make this life matter.

      First of all, you're only 25 and you already know what you're passionate about. Most people go their entire miserable lives without being passionate about anything, so that's a blessing right there. Second, it's never too late to become anything. Search online for some of the great success stories ever - TONS of them were accomplished by people in their 40's, 50's, 60's and older. AND those people probably failed over and over again before they made it - they didn't quit. Quitting is the only guarantee of failure, so you couldn't possibly have failed "already" unless you've given up completely. Not yet is NOT the same as never will - the only thing that matters is if you stop along the way.

      Hey man, im almost 24. Been doing music 2 years now and still don't think I know anything about it, and still haven't got that much to show. It's important, no-- VITAL if you love music to make it because you love to make it, and nothing else. Screw how many people will listen to it, make it for you. Only you. Never stop that. You release stuff that speaks to you personally deeply, even if it's only one person, someone is going to resonate with that. Job accomplished in the artform. Sure you can relate to others and makes stuff that bridges gaps, but some of my most successful stuff I have made (as small as it may be), came from being in the moment, and just channeling the sound through me. Letting it run, letting it take me where it takes me. It's funny too because great producers like Rick Rubin will say the one of the most important parts of music production is to get your ego out of the way and just let it all happen. Have fun. Let what you can do carry itself, and open the gates. It's funny how that works. Don't get beat up, the only time it's to late to start something is when you're dead.

    The present moment, right now.. is what TRULY counts. The past is GONE. The future never arrives because it is always RIGHT NOW! I know it sounds crazy but let that sink in. Great audio btw!!

      Dr. Christopher Ryan, co-author of the book "Sex at Dawn", he's had great conversations with Duncan Trussell and Joe Rogan, you can find them on youtube or their audio podcasts.

    True wisdom.
    See one thing thats fucked up with the world is that in our most central institutions (like education) IQ ranks over EQ. If EQ is even acknowledged to exist.
    When all the greatest mentors and healers that truly stand out have high Emotional Intelligence. For me this is the difference between knowledge and wisdom.

    • @DanialJones
      @DanialJones  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Cael McDiarmid yeah, it's like the age old saying, how smart people have no common sense. I generally find smart people are generally far from being awake/enlightened.

      Yeah true, this is because "smart people" are clever at self convincing.
      It can actually be easier to deceive yourself this way.

    This advice all seems totally meaningless when you're anhedonic. There's nothing which can satisfy me, and the present moment is a prison from which I can't escape. How can you find your passion when even your once favourite music doesn't move you anymore?
