Nice updated FW the additional settings shutter speed and ISO are 👍. The dark area ( under trees ) sure is dark especially the 1/240 flight. Like you mentioned it seems to be the contrast, everything is a bit dark. Great comparison and setting test.
I think, for me, the question is, is it on par with the 03? It's not going to beat the quality of a gopro but is a great cheap alternative for analogue flyers.

Thank you for this video. I ordered the Thumb 2 and am waiting for it. After seeing your footage, I agree with you, contrast is too high by default with your settings. I hope you will be able to share your results with an adjusted contrast. Have a nice day.
@@marblekitfpv I received it and I am very disappointed I must say. With a contrast at 1 (the minimum), the only way I found to not have crushed whites with fixed shutter speed is to set a fixed ISO with it. But, even with this, I am not very happy because the blacks are extremely dark and there is still some problem when looking directly at the sun. I have a caddx peanut (insta360 go 2) and it handles way better these situations with an automatic iso and fixed (or "prefered" as they say in the app) shutter speed. I tested with ND 8 and ND 16. I look forward to hearing your opinion and your recommended settings for a fixed shutter speed.
So far, any of the modes that show the full sensor (4:3) and XV don't support stabilization. That might change in a future firmware update. Seems they are still developing this camera.
It seems to be possible to use the Runcam Thumb Pro as a webcam on your Andoroid Phone using USB OTG. Maybe you could test the same procedure with the Thumb 2 and adjust the settings without having to fly your drone :)

120 shutter actually looks pretty good now compared to auto shutter before.

Seems like they need a couple more tweaks to the firmware but overall I think it looks great with exception to the contrast

Have you tried scanning the QR code w/o ND on?
I never scan the QR codes with an ND filter on.
can you get gyro data in the 4k60 xv mode?
