    I am teaching youth archery. Not because I pretend to be the authority, but because I want to share the fun and the joy of a great sport. Your tips are extremely helpful. Thankyou. So easy to understand

    How can we see the 70m bullseye? Is the archer look at the 70m bullseye or look at the sight bar? Im puzzled…

    Exzellent content mate! Being in my early 50‘s starting archery now with a personal coach. I‘d like to ask you for your personal opinion. My first bow could be a bargain full equipped top bow like with 38 lbs! Similar to the one you have shown here in the video, with very few wear and tear visible. Of course I would rent the arms with 18 lbs load in the beginning, then work my way up as consistency allows. It it crazy to start my adventure with such extraordinary good equipment? Would a rather simple recurve bow made of wood with no fancy add on gadgets provide benefits in the beginning?
    Thanks a lot.

    Can you give a general description of the 70 meter arrow that is used?

  • @doughackett695

    It looks like the fletches will hit the arrow rest. If that is true it seems the arrow will be pushed off alignment. Can you show a closeup view showing how the fletching pass through the arrow rest, without being bumped off course. Thanks.

    This is sort of a delicate question. I’m learning archery and am a woman and sometimes the string hits me in the chest…how do I stop that from happening?

      Sorry this is a late reply but chest guards help a ton! A lot of clubs will have them so try borrowing one before buying

    what lbs bow are they shooting in general

    • @OnlineArcheryAcademy
      @OnlineArcheryAcademy  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Generally the top performing men in Olympic competition shoot 45-52lbs, and the women tend to be around 36-44lbs - as a very rough range of course :)

    I wanted to know what the thing that flips down just before they release, now I know its a clicker and how it works and a lot more. One thing I do not understand, a right handed shooter (arrows or rifles ) holds the string/trigger in the right hand the left holds the bow/stock which aims the weapon! Why do we use the main hand just to do a simple job of release/ pull trigger when the weaker hand has to aim the weapon?

    • @RisingBboyNeXuS
      @RisingBboyNeXuS 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Just my explanation, not sure how accurate this actually is, but I believe it's due to how everything lines up. As a right handed archer, using my right hand to draw the string lines up better with my right eye as compared to if I used my left hand instead.
      Not sure if that made any sense to you, but that's how I view it. Have a good one!

    • @CreatorInMicro
      @CreatorInMicro หลายเดือนก่อน

      I've been asking about this, and originally assumed that it was because your drawing arm can pull more weight. The counterintuitive response I've been hearing from archers is that handedness is less important than your dominant eye, and if you're left eye dominant, you should shoot a left-handed bow.

    I still don't understand how the fine tuning mechanism makes it more forgiving of errors.

  • @Yupppi
    @Yupppi หลายเดือนก่อน

    You just completely skipped fine tuning. I mean you said there's fine tuning that impacts the result, but you could have said the same thing about any other part, that if it's not properly adjusted your shot will not be as good. What does it do? How does it do that? "By using this button" how do you use it?

    • @OnlineArcheryAcademy
      @OnlineArcheryAcademy  หลายเดือนก่อน

      My best advice for fine tuning, is don't worry about it ;) It really doesn't make a difference unless someone is already shooting 680+.

    • @MAdams853

      Actually in UK it is Aluminium, so pronunciation is correct. It is an anomaly that the US and UK spell it differently so it isn't just an accent thing. I did here that it was due to an early consignment of Aluminium that arrived in the states with an incorrectly spelt name on it. Aluminum stuck.
