Hey! That beach you called fisherman's point, that's my great grandparents homestead. My great grandpa and great uncle built those fish houses a really, really long time ago!!
I read that Ellensburg blue agate is the rarest and most coveted "agate," and the third most sought after gem of the world. Furthermore, thompsonite is a zeolite.
I really hope you took the trash with you since you mentioned that your want to metal detect. Every metal detecting person I watch has a good code to "take the trash with you".
The very best rockhounds will pick up trash as they hunt for rocks, they may come home with a bucket full of trash and 3-4 nice rocks, but they care about the planet. I'm not being critical of your channel, it's a good channel, but I cringe every time you toss a piece of trash instead disposing of it properly. I know I may get a lot of flack for suggesting this, although anyone who cares for the great outdoors would agree with me. Keep up the great channel!
I know some secret spots that have good amounts thomsonite, from my knowledge only few know of the locations. If you know of any too I'd be willing to trade info.
Thompsonite is a separate mineral from agates. It's a species of zeolite, agates are a variety of quartz.

It’s found in more place than your exact location, I’ve found it in two places in northern Minnesota on the north shore of Lake Superior

Thompsonite is also found on the Keweenaw Peninsula in Michigans upper peninsula.
That's not true Thompsonite. It is another form of Zeolite that is a look alike. Still very beautiful, but not quite the same!
Quit giving misinformation - also Thompsonite is not agate
We're no experts. Still learning
If you go as far as picking garbage up, you may as well pocket it. Jus sayin.

I can't believe you found "garbage" and just dropped it on the ground again.

Tempting! Will have to think about that!
