Join me LIVE on Zoom later this month (July 22-26th, 2024) as I teach a metacognition course for teens (13-19). Give your teenager a mental advantage that will help them succeed in school and beyond as they discover how to step into the driver's seat of their own mind. As a piano teacher i put 0 barrier between the "students" and I, very very regularly (every 10 minutes maybe) i take some steam off from focusing on piano playing (very taxing mentally as a beginner) and simply joke around, never forced always dependent on what context / like a casual conversation with friends. I wouldn't say my student all perform amazing (video games are a BIG competitor for example with practicing the piano between lessons, in their lives just as much as mine 😂) but they all enjoy the lessons, hug me or say it was cool today... the only worry i have is parents judging me for taking too much time, but I love my job that way and am almost certain not to digust the students from the piano, playing the long game, maybe in a few years they'll be very happy to know the basics and will spend hours practicing everyday to impress the ladies or whatever xD but yeah i can't measure how creating good relationship impacts results, but it makes my life much richer and fullfilling 👍
