Appreciate videos like this a lot, thanks for sharing. Even as someone who has played against most of these decks countless times, having an affirmative voice about these core interactions is always helpful. Takes a lot of courage too; it's not like a tier list. There are "right ways to play" that people agree on by consensus, and when you're wrong they're more than happy to say something about it. So I'm sure 24 minutes of content about these key and common but still VERY diverse interactions takes a LOT of prep to be confident about. Just here to say as an oldhead that relies on content like this to stay competitive in current format, I appreciate that.
One way PK plays around this at 18:00 is that they add Stained Greaves instead of Boots and set Shade with Rusty. That covers the level 4s without needing Break Sword
Ash against Drytron: Make sure to Ash Diviner. If you Ash anything else there is a high chance they can just extend another way. Ashing Diviner not only denies a search, but it also means it stays at Lv 2, which shuts off Beatrice lines, aka even more searches. Instead they now have to Union Carrier and then Ritual it away which is much weaker than Beatrice.
It actually depends if they went with the line where they bring Eva to the hand with benten. In that case, it doesn't really matter, they will reach the same point. In my opinion, the best way is denying the access do benten. Without it the deck runs out of resources really fast
Such a great video, as someone just getting back into the game after like 8 years away, I really appreciate the knowledge and experience putting this together takes.
Thanks a ton for making such good instructional content. I found your channel looking for someone to teach me how to play sky strikers and have seriously loved everything I've watched so far
Thank you so much for this video, I have been looking for this information for days now lol. Your vids def played a huge role in me hitting plat as a new player. Thanks and Subbed.
If you ever need an idea for a video, you should make a handtrap guide for all of the various rogue decks on MasterDuelMeta. I feel like in a best-of-one format some of them can do things that are just as dangerous as the tier 1 decks. I probably take more losses to the weird random stuff than I do the top tier just because I haven’t had enough exposure to them to know their capabilities.
Honestly i agree, these vids are amazing and really informative, plus ur format for em is really neat, big props! Earned u a sub, will keep an eye on ur informative vids
One thing to note is to be wary of ashing a vw name in hand if they have no monsters on board since they play gamma. If they commit a name to the board then feel free to ash. Also you can belle laolao, jiji, xuanwu, or m7. (Just in case that's the only hand trap you open and aren't sure where to use it)
Thank you! Im a new player idk when to use these ash, imperm, called, and i just use maxx c whenever the enemy use something, i just scroll down and look if there is a special summon word in it🤣
havent had time to check through the comments so sorry if this has already been asked, but where is the best place to interrupt live twin? been struggling to decide when to play cards against it
My goodness, I play yugioh for fun but thanks to master duel I’m forced to play against meta decks in ranked if I want any progression. I have been getting slapped left and right by Tri-brigade, edlich, and Invoked. I came to this video for some help and it’s very helpful but it’s like restarting med school all over again.
I play true draco and I don't even run the pot cards because it requires an extra deck which means I don't have access to monarchs erupt being an extra 3 copies of skill drain. If I wanted both I would have to use all my copies of the pots before I could even use erupt
Thank you so much for vid, I'm not really playing meta deck so I'm don't know when to negate, this one really help Also, this not a hand trap but it generic card, one of a match against Eldlich I resolve the effect of Ice Dragon Prison to banish 2 Eldlich is so satisfy
If you Maxx "C" vs Dino you will want to see Lancea, while Lancea is not very meta because of the limited uses, it does work nicely against a few decks, but without a side deck it isn't really the best card to use in most decks.
hey man, nice vid, I'm still new to modern YGO. I've played a lot of duel links and synchro era tcg, but I've picked up @ignisters as my main deck in master duel. I have so many deck slots that I can dedicate to running disruption/handtraps, so this vid really helps narrow down my choices. I currently run 3x droplet and 3x crossout in my list, but how would you personally ratio ash blossom, ghost belle, veiler, and impermanence? Do you think I should even tech in cbtg or maxx c since I'm running crossout? Any further help would be really appreciated
If you like this format and would continue to play it even after a possible TCG ladder releases then definitely make 3 maxx C. The card is broken and wins way too many games. If you don't but have 3 cross out then make at least 1 so you can play through enemy maxx c. Ash blossom is the generic handtrap of choice because every deck searches or draws cards in the modern game, so it is never dead but has the occasional blow out interaction that wins games. Called By the grave is very good and will be staple in all the combo decks, its at 1 in the TCG so there isn't much risk in crafting 1 both as handtrap protection and a way to diversify your crossout targets. Impermanence is also very generic and good but a few decks can dodge it due to a lack of on field effects, I'd say this is the thing to get after Maxx C and Ash. Veiler overlaps with Imperm and in the TCG used to be the budget option but here they are both UR. Veiler is used as a combo piece in a few decks to make accesscode through halq and selene. Ghost belle and Meister are format dependent but Meister is an SR so he isn't a big cost to experiment with. Gamma would be another big thing but since he is at 2 in MD the risk of drawing driver might outweigh the benefit.
Funny enough. I never played against drytron until the other day. I used eagle booster on the monster they targeted to lose 1000 and when it didn’t resolve we went to scoop phase
Running 1 ash, 1 nib, 2 maxx C, 2 Crossout, 1 droll xD. I wanted to add 1 Lancea because I'm playing Orcust-Mekk Knight. Currently at Plat 3 with 8 wins in a row :p
Thank you for really high value video. In virtual world match up, they activate lulu in hand by targeting a card on the field, if i chain to destroy the target, is the lulu’s effect able to resolve?
You could do a whole board buster/ going second video tutorial covering things like droplet, lightning storm, super poly, evenly matched, sphere mode, etc. I'd love to see that and be better equipped to play those cards.
Ok so you want to say that Ash Ghost belle Nibiru Max c Impermenence sometimes droll Q lock bird and skull meister That these cards is in the meta for hand traps?
me : So Nibiru is pretty good, then I can add ash and meister to be versatile. Starts game : ***looks at hand** : 2 nibs 2 maxx c. Oponent : set 5 pass **smile**
Yes and no. There are some effects that belle hits that meister cant the same can be said in reverse. They and cover alot of the same effects be each have a wide use unique to themselves
Maxx C makes yugioh so much more fun. Hopefully it comes in the next banlist, or the one after that, or the one after, or after... Please bring back Maxx C
Maxx C has been so effective that combo players don't even play into Nibiru anymore. I'm so tempted to take Nibiru out at this point. I really like how the card warps the format
Well from my time playing Cyber dragons. I will say cyber dragons isn't as much of a linear combo deck. But Ash has the most targets as it hits the core, hertz, soldier, rampage, both search spells, and machine dupe. As well as any pots. Veiler can mess with machine dupe plays, and galaxy soldier which helps getting around chain blocking with the hertz. Both these help to keep them off rank 5s. Belle works against overload fusion, nachster, hertz, Nova, rev-cycle,
noice video. I hope they implement TCG/OCG rules soon so we TCG players don't have to deal with MAXX C, True King, ect... Can you do a recommendations on board breakers, such as Dark Ruler No More and Lightning Storm. Evenly Matched is a BEAST against grind games.
@@impendio I know it won't happen, but how amazing would it be if Master Duel was kind of a first step in reuniting the TCG and OCG. Imagine having only 1 consistent banlist and to be allowed to use OCG cards!

You are a legend. Thank you for the info, great video. Really appreciate you helping players like me who have limited experience with the meta decks.
Bruh you the man for this, super informative and a great help for us players who don't know the in's and out's of all the decks

I hit Plat 1 using this video as my learning tool - TY!
Do a video on differences between DD Crow, Skull Meister, and Belle - please! :D

Glad to see I’m not the only one who’s been maining Ghost Belle. Nobody ever talks about her but she’s kind of insane in Master Duel.
21:02 tactics? What cards are you talking about?
Great video man, please keep them coming!

Same with some Drytron builds.
Can you plz do something similar for called by the grave ?
Thanks so much for this video. Had no idea skull and belle were so good, definitely gonna consider crafting them next.
I love running monarchs right now. Highly slept on deck and it's just fun locking your opponent at times.
If there was a tier list for content, this would be at the top
Ayyyyyeee gg with the MD edition! Nice!!!
Exactly what I was looking for, neat.
Thank you! Im a new player idk when to use these ash, imperm, called, and i just use maxx c whenever the enemy use something, i just scroll down and look if there is a special summon word in it🤣
an amazing guide, understanding my deck is not enough, i need to understand my opponent too
This Video is so helpful, thanks a lot!!
So Ash is a must every deck pretty much?
Then Belle for a best of 1? Veiler? Skull Meister? Imperm?
Just what I was looking for, thanks
damn i had to revisit my note from your old video to this newer version
Great video really helpful thank you.

Where would you ash against bird up? Wait for bird call or just hit fraktall?
d.d crow for eldlich can do miracles too

Against PKs thought on hitting the rusty instead?
Between you, destiny tubers, and Luke Stephens videos man, work is a breeze tonight lmao
BRO THAAAAAAAANK YOOOOOOOU
If you could add Generaiders to your next list that would be amazing. Only vs them once and their boss monster Harr is so annoying
I remember losing to Winter Cherries back to back rounds a few years ago smh
Subbed
Would a card like mistaken accusation be a good out to kagari as well?
Let’s gooo gg gang
Can also Ogre when they send with Electromite
Running 1 ash, 1 nib, 2 maxx C, 2 Crossout, 1 droll xD.
I wanted to add 1 Lancea because I'm playing Orcust-Mekk Knight.

@@GG_YGO thank you
Do you think super poly will be good again anytime soon? I love it as a board breaker but it just feels so lack luster as of late.
Once the despia structure is out

with malicius hero?
Ok so you want to say that
Ash
Ghost belle
Nibiru
Max c
Impermenence
sometimes droll Q lock bird and skull meister
That these cards is in the meta for hand traps?
Thanks :)

what do i hit for dark magician
could you do a dino deck ?
I see belle and meister together a lot in GY hitting, is belle just an upgraded meister?
Yes and no. There are some effects that belle hits that meister cant the same can be said in reverse. They and cover alot of the same effects be each have a wide use unique to themselves
Do a vid on dragonmaid pls
Some guy did a Mistdude summon and I freaked out thinking Rhongo was legal. Knowing he is imma have to just play imperm...😷
Where to ht? As soon as possible. Just click the damn button. Why you scared homie!? Lets go.
Indont bmmind eldritch i do mind tri brigade like hell though
Great video, please incorporate timestamps into the video so we can jump to specific decks
Tried these against Drytron. It doesnt work.
You cant do anything against Drytron if you dont OTK them next turn
what do you think of dd crow? i’m tempted to try it since it can be so flexible
Just play it and see how you like it. You don't lose much by trying it out.
One big problem. These hand traps are expensive to generate for f2p like me lol
When the fuck do I hand trap vs exodia beat down
If you're unfortunate to face any Exodia deck Droll & Lock Bird is the best option.
Dinos are amazing
Yeah Belle against Drytron is insane lol, most players rn only play ben10, draconids and ultimateness, but no idaten lol
... ok funny thing, last game i was against drytron, I meistered the Meteonis, but it still got added to the hand... why?
The game is super buggy
@@GG_YGO ye go figure, another game my lightning storm was apparently a dud...
@@TheReandos I had a game it wouldn't let me chain anchor so
Where is D.D. crow? :s

How does xyz encore out rhongo if it’s unaffected?
XYZ Encore affects the materials the same as Mystic Mine affects the player.
Maxx C makes yugioh so much more fun. Hopefully it comes in the next banlist, or the one after that, or the one after, or after...
Please bring back Maxx C
Lol no

1000% picking up belle in mduel
