Yes it was big B. They both are in double roles in that. Also, Govinda is an emotion. Yes he has a certain dancing style. But he was the one who introduced Locking and Popping in India in late 80's. You should check his song- I am a street dancer. Govinda movies was a huge hit. Mostly comedyies but he has done some serious stuff as well.
Locking and popping is great but what Govinda does with his expressions is unmatched, what others could do he could too, but what he did was impossible for others, that's why he's my hero no 1

Govinda is our most underrated stars who never got his due. His dance skills were amazing. He overshadowed even Big B in movies like Bade Mian......he was purposely weird and funny. His comic timing is unmatched. Start with Dulhe Raja, and Raja Babu.
I think post the Sushant incident everyone's obsessed with this mentality. Govinda did not "not get his dues". An entire era in Bollywood belonged to Govinda.

IF you really want to get introduced to Govinda, I'd recommend Dulhe raja. Be warned though, Govinda is a genre that one may not be used to, and could be an acquired taste.
Dulhe Raja might be tough to translate completely and some scenes might be only be digestible to diehard fans like us, but for a foreign audience a good starting point could be Partner, it's contemporary yet has all the Govinda ingredients.
Two things I'm so glad this reaction happened this way, to see your expressions from so up close was precious. And secondly, I am definitely gonna go and watch a Govinda movie right now.
Gentlemen FYI: After Big B, Govinda is the best actor in Hindi films. He’s earned his success from comedies but his dramatic work is unparalleled. He did a “Bajrangi Bhaijaan” type film in the 80s called “Hatya” where he plays a young alcoholic widower & finds a deaf/mute kid, his acting phenomenal in it. He worked in a “Hitch” remake with Salman Khan, where Govinda played Kevin James role & he blew the part out of the water & turned the Kevin James part as the lead of the film.
Hatya is a remake of a malayalam movie. As big a fan I am of Govinda, I have to say his selection of scripts, directors and producers were and still are very average. He certainly had the potential to become a great actor but for that you have to work with quality scripts and directors.

Michael Scott IMHO Jim Carey’s is the master of physical comedy and a human chameleon (try his sketches on mimicking other celebrities). Govinda is quite different. Both employ slapstick humour often but the similarities end there.
