@IDontReallyWantATH-camHandle I wouldn't be surprised if that was a subconscious inspiration, but I am pretty sure that's not the message. Seems to me like an ADHD writer that simply forgot where they were going with any of that at any given point. The scientist part would have been left out by most Christians, and the "coyote" would not have been defeated before the foal was even born. If the foal sacrificed itself in a noble battle to defeat the coyote once and for all, I'd be more convinced the inspiration was intentional. I honestly think no one payed attention haha It was quite clear about everything and a nice way to explain it to younger viewers. Looks like more adults watched this and were thinking way too much. They explained about the Gypsy King in the beginning, clear as day and this video was not even about him. xXholicxX Clover the gypsy horse king shows loyalty of a mustang, strength of a Clydesdale, and beauty of an appaloosa. With all those together they can do anything almost nothing is They cannot do. They are (idk) the rarest hose breed there is created by the Gypsy.
😂 even though it’s been two years since I’ve written this comment, I will respond to your comments because I have time. The Gypsy King contributes nothing to the story, besides running around and filling up screen time. I hope the creator doesn’t or hasn’t shown this piece to any professional company because they would just be a laughing stock. One, because of the weak or lack of a plot. Two, Art is copied almost entirely from spirit. Those are just a few examples, of how choppy this work is.

But it's traced off of another movie, Watch "Spirit: Stallion of the Cinnaron" (don't know if that was spelled right but eh) Then you'll see the similarities.
I wanted this in 4th grade (before I started studying animation) and thought it was amazing. I am an 8th grader now and honestly, I think that this needs much more work. Not that my animations are any better, but the frame rate changes constantly, some scenes are clearly traced from Horseland and Spirit as well as the style constantly changes.
I wished this film is a little longer because there's two questions that doesn't make sense or explain clearly in "Dream Come True (A Mule Mom's Story)" like: 1. What has happened to Flo's parents, I'm mean did they suddenly disappear half way in the story and never been seen or heard again? 2. Who is the father to Flo's foal like is it really the Gypsy King who suddenly have an interest in Flo after he return?
1. I'd say they were just separated from her. It happens when weaning a foal from a mare that they'd separate them so the mare could recover and stop producing milk and Flo would likely be put in a field with her own peers. 2. I'm going off of real world science rather than what they said but I believe they placed a fertilised egg in her and since this would be a very expensive procedure, they'd probably get from a high quality stallion and mare to make it worth while. That's also why Flo, a mule, gave birth to a Gypsy Vanner instead of another mule or part mule foal.
execution and pacing and awkward story choice aside, i think this movie's biggest flaw is that it gives us no characters to whom we should feel connected. as soon as one is introduced, it goes away again. the title character had no speaking lines and her singing lines were all fluff. no one has any non-nebulous dreams or needs other than the coyote, who was supposed to be the main antagonist. no one's character changed and no one grew. and are we, as adults, to infer that the mule was used as a surrogate to gestate the fetus of one of the pure bred horses? even though that's really not how the industry works and they usually use nanny horses (look it up)? now, i've read that there's a type of story telling where there's no conflicted needed to push the plot along and the plot revolves around some change taking place. but this story DID have conflict. once that was resolved, why didn't the story end? we just don't know. what was the moral? if the moral was 'mules can have their own babies: isn't it inspiring how all females can get pregnant if you pour enough science on it' i'm like 40% offended. many people find themselves wondering who wrote this story, how and why. it flows almost like how a 4 year old plays with their toys, so i'm going to assume a 4 year old had their imagination plagiarized. in conclusion, let us all learn from the flaws and what the actual hell did i just watch
That last statement is what I said when I finished watching. This has been in my recommended videos for quite some time (I don't even know why? Maybe because of the animations I watch.) so I thought I would give it a shot but seriously wtf is this
I would say it's because of the time, but I've seen silent 3d animation university projects with little to no lines and they maneged to make a better mini movie than this.
The story is very confusing, and it doesn't make much sense. The animation was amazing! I was very confused for some parts of the story... this feels rushed
Juniper Lps I think what happened was that a mule was born but I guessed the parents didn't expect a mule to be born, and as the mule go older and the parents were gone, the other horses saw the mule as NOT one of them. So then I guess the mule wanted more of her kind or a baby, but from what I heard, mules RARELY reproduce,so the people decided to make her a baby,so since the baby was a special type of horse, the other horses learned to respect her
Am I dying???? Am I feverish?? Wtf is happening rn. What is this. Why is it not what I remember watching. How the fuck did they magic a new prince from nothing. The king offer up some "assistance"???? What????????
i have no idea why i just watched this but the last scene of the gypsy vanner foal was really, really obviously ripped, maybe even traced from spirit's foal scene in stallion of the cimarron. you really better watch it when it comes to that stuff, you definitely dont want to get into trouble with dreamworks.
Jean Burke Yes definitely, when the foal peeked out from behind the mule mom, it's eyes are facing slightly inward and the foal blinks a few times, JUST like in Spirit Stallion of the Cimarron when he was born. It's the eyes that are the EXACT same, go and watch the birth scene in Spirit, you'll see it is REALLY similar
It is actually possible (on extremely rare occasions) for a female mule to have a biological foal. Sometimes, for reasons we don't understand yet, a mule can completely bypass the DNA exchange that occurs when an egg gets fertilized. When this happens, the resulting embryo contains only the mother mule's DNA and she essentially gives birth to a clone of herself, a foal whose genes are identical to her own.
This is by far, the most incredible work of art I have ever seen. The symbolism is so deep. The animation, voice acting, storyline, everything about this short film is wonderful. Absolute beauty.
I can just imagine farmer whatshisface. "Oh darn, that coyote is scarin' the animals again. (Not mauling the chickens, *scaring*) Guess I should get my trusty WHIP. Yea, that'll be perfect. Cause there's *obviously* no other ways to prevent this continuous problem like a shotgun or closing the barn doors. And hey, if that doesn't work, I'll just borrow my friends Ass who is coincidentally named Jack!" (*Really?* Jack the Ass... *JACK*, the *ASS*)

xXholicxX Clover the gypsy horse king shows loyalty of a mustang, strength of a Clydesdale, and beauty of an appaloosa.
The sassy chicken with the headset is the most entertaining character
Why does TH-cam recommend this video to me every 6 months?
what is this and why did I watch it all?
I was thinking the same. I loved the animation, but if it was a 'real' story, they're missing some parts.
i dont know why i kept watching it... it was soooo cheesy, and made no sense at all xD i dont even know what the story was. sounded just like rambling. that and i dont buy that "gobbledigook" made a sterile mule able to birth a horse that was of a completely different breed than the granddam draft horse. my brain is in disbelief at this video
Really it was in-vitro, she cannot make the fetus but she can carry it that's why it was a gypsy because that's what the farm had to breed.
the gobbledigook was most likely embryo implantation
I think everyone is wondering the same thing. lmao
HOW DID I GET HERE? I STARTED OFF LOOKING FOR A VIDEO OF A DEER FARRINGTON AND YET I SOMEHOW GOT HERE!!!! WHAT?!?!
SAME!!!

the animation is pretty good
the plot, makes me mehhhh ~_~
aryist,
But it's traced off of another movie, Watch "Spirit: Stallion of the Cinnaron" (don't know if that was spelled right but eh)
Then you'll see the similarities.
+FangArtKitty yeah i watched that movie years ago. but no matter how you look at it, the story needs work though..
Nikita Joelle The story, yes, but I can't appreciate the animation when some of the framework is copyrighted material.
+FangArtKitty h
Really good animation.
The plot? Honestly it's one of the worst I've ever seen.
I know Right?!
Animation was traced off a move called Spirit. Some scenes came straight from it. This is all copyrighted.
GAAG not at all, style is completely different.
Wanna see a good horse movie? Spirit.
Yes
+miyukithefoxfurry my 2nd fav horse movie...my 1st one is Flicka...

I wished this film is a little longer because there's two questions that doesn't make sense or explain clearly in "Dream Come True (A Mule Mom's Story)" like:
1) They probably passed away
And for 2. There is a scientific way that this would be possible... But since i do not know ur age i will not go into detail
355
If flows parents passed away then shouldn't most of the other horses have also passed because they would be around the same age or older.
Maybe they were made into glue.
Lilybug97 I agree
or they got sold
A few years ago I stumbled upon this and it still haunts me
execution and pacing and awkward story choice aside, i think this movie's biggest flaw is that it gives us no characters to whom we should feel connected. as soon as one is introduced, it goes away again. the title character had no speaking lines and her singing lines were all fluff. no one has any non-nebulous dreams or needs other than the coyote, who was supposed to be the main antagonist. no one's character changed and no one grew.
and are we, as adults, to infer that the mule was used as a surrogate to gestate the fetus of one of the pure bred horses? even though that's really not how the industry works and they usually use nanny horses (look it up)?
now, i've read that there's a type of story telling where there's no conflicted needed to push the plot along and the plot revolves around some change taking place. but this story DID have conflict. once that was resolved, why didn't the story end? we just don't know. what was the moral? if the moral was 'mules can have their own babies: isn't it inspiring how all females can get pregnant if you pour enough science on it' i'm like 40% offended.
many people find themselves wondering who wrote this story, how and why. it flows almost like how a 4 year old plays with their toys, so i'm going to assume a 4 year old had their imagination plagiarized.
in conclusion, let us all learn from the flaws and what the actual hell did i just watch
That last statement is what I said when I finished watching. This has been in my recommended videos for quite some time (I don't even know why? Maybe because of the animations I watch.) so I thought I would give it a shot
but seriously
wtf is this
The
crystal vera i'm sorry
is this a spongebob reference?
Well said. I felt Jack was going to be a pretty central character, but then he disappeared.
I would say it's because of the time, but I've seen silent 3d animation university projects with little to no lines and they maneged to make a better mini movie than this.
This is such a beautiful story in of itself about a mule becoming a mother
Well my friend that’s what breeding centers are for
@@robertbreschard3493 I know that I'm a born breed country boy with a deep love for horses, donkeys and mules
it's good but it would be better if the coyote actually sounded more like a coyote than a cat with rabies...
Samantha Lopez yea, they ruined the coyote for me
🤣🤣🤣 I am crying with so much laughter 🤣 A cat with rabies! For a moment I thought that your comment said 'A cat with babies' 🤣
my very first video I’ve ever watched on TH-cam as a kid…
The story is very confusing, and it doesn't make much sense. The animation was amazing! I was very confused for some parts of the story... this feels rushed
Juniper Lps I think what happened was that a mule was born but I guessed the parents didn't expect a mule to be born, and as the mule go older and the parents were gone, the other horses saw the mule as NOT one of them. So then I guess the mule wanted more of her kind or a baby, but from what I heard, mules RARELY reproduce,so the people decided to make her a baby,so since the baby was a special type of horse, the other horses learned to respect her
KaStElLy Is KoOl
There was a mule mom but no mule dad.
This feels like a cheap knock off of "Spirit: Stallion of the Cimmaron."
Jordan Toczek ye kinda
Jordan Toczek it probably is
Jordan Toczek pretty much sums it up
This story is nothing like spirit so why would you say that?
And just because it has horses in it doesn’t mean it’s a nock off of Spirit
Why does watching this make me feel physically ill
I have no Idea why i watched this...
3აქეესწწწქ
The animation is actually really damn good.
+Name's Bondevik. Lukas Bondevik. They traced Spirit, that's why.
Fae Touched Ah.
+Fae Touched Not all of it, as I don't think there were some of the animals...
But yeah, the horses are complete Spirit.
Out here in the real world that farmer would have just shot the coyote with a 12ga slug on the first night.
To scary for a kids movie, they have to face reality at some point
superrooster9nine how is that scary? the farmer could shoot, but they would not show blood if it was a kids movie
Sorry, its hard to show sarcasm on the internet
Bjpumjn
Jwgdjpjw00wk000000000000000000000
well said
The animation's good, but the storyline wasn't.
It's like the satanic offspring of Spirit and Horseland
Annie Keller At first i thought it was horse land
Annie Keller Yass so true
***** - j
+Annie Keller yea lolz
+Annie Keller omg ikr!!! i was actually going to say that!!! XD just.. horseland is a bit better... in my opinion.
Yo science is awesome
i love science
OOF
Woah… can that happen in other animals?
Sinister Sweet
Flow’s baby wasn’t a clone!
This is by far, the most incredible work of art I have ever seen. The symbolism is so deep. The animation, voice acting, storyline, everything about this short film is wonderful. Absolute beauty.
I don't know what everyone's problem was. The story was fine, and the animation was amazing. I think the voice actors were fine, as well.
***** XD I understand it's meant for kids, but there has to be SOME sort of logic.
+StepHunny Lol. I know, right? It literally makes 0 sense.
Jack is the name of a male Ass (donkey)

Furious Flyer Dashie I'm well aware
So I'm in that part of TH-cam.
I FINALLY FOUND IT!! I WHATCHED THIS VIDEO WHEN I WAS LIKE 7 AND NEVER FORGOT ABOUT IT FOR SOME REASON. IM SO GLAD I FOUND IT IM GONNA CRY
Alright, so I clicked this the other day because TH-cam recommended it, but I clicked away cuz it looked dull. Now I'm back (for some reason. :/ ) and reading the comments now, I want to know wtf this is, as it sounds...strange...
so....wish me luck. Here goes. 😓
That.....was a trip my friends.
So why is this a thing? 😕
Crystalp1456 same, it's been in my recommendation for a month and I've been clicking "not interested" but it kept coming back so I watched it. Now I'm like what the heck did I just watch... WHAT WAS THE POINT OF THAT
What kinda coyote is larger than a Golden Retriever and strong enough to toss it around like a rag doll~!? D:
A hulk coyote 0:
This story was ok but very confusing
"I'm gonna name this MULE after my MOM"
The animation was fantastic but the story was a little odd.
I remember watching this as a young teen, and wow, I do not remember it being so baffling.
So apparently there really was a farmer who implanted his mule with a Gypsie Vanner embryo. Which is cool but why try to make this a story?
Sorry, I'll be right back. I have to look for something.
Ive been looking for hours, still can't find the plot
The coyote/wolf thing sounds like a cat with rabies. XD
Stole that joke
Thalia Talton I didn't steal it, I saw it and I decided to comment it because I wanted other people to see it too because I thought it was funny.
I watched this so many times as a kid, fr nostalgic
Wait so is flow’s baby the gypsy kings? I’m confused.
At 13:42, it implied that the Gypsy King is the father.
TH-cam.
What the fuck.
Stop putting this shit in my recommendations.
Same.
TH-cam is just a prick at times.
