I always prefer the acoustic instruments to the electric ones. Their tones are more soothing to listen to. Brian (of the Haley Sisters) plays a slide guitar and it's definitely an asset in many of their songs they sing. I like the tones of a dobro and Weissenborn Guitar that you are playing. Perhaps you would do more songs with it on video for your audience. Sounds really awesome to my listening ears. Thank you for sharing the history of this beautiful instrument also.
Hi Angie, hadn't heard of the Haleys and had a quick look but found no slide work. It is very difficult to sing whilst playing slide because you hve to look at the slide, and you are playing lead as well as rhythm and lead vocals - but I'll see what I can do. Cool sound. Andy do you keep all your guitars humidified as in there cases with the things they sell to humidify or do you have a home humidifier ? I’m not sure where you are if you even need to do that. You have so many beautiful instruments and I know you take great care of them. Just wondering if humidity is a concern for you.
Hi Ditch, yes it is a concern. Esp the Collings guitars which seem to be hypersensitive. We donlt have home humidifiers in the Uk any more than have A/C. but each guitar has a hygrometer and a Guitar Nomad humidifier and a home made humidifying device in the case. Currently in our very hot weather and today when there has been rain, RH has been over 50% I just keep 'em in the cases.

Hi Joel, it isn't my invention, I cant remember where I found it but it seemed to work quite well.
@@SillyMoustache I am not generally a fan of alternate tunings, but it seems to work wonderfully for this instrument!
@@joelgevirtz6181 Well, Joel, on an instrument without frets and cannot be fretted, standard "Spanish" tuning simply wouldn't work.
