I suppose it sort of depends on how into the hobby I am. When I did models as a kid I pretty much just put them together and called it good. There are others who would say, and probably rightly so, that that was done sloppy and it isn't finished, you didn't even paint it. As a grown up, I now watch these restoration videos where people bring back old toys or repair models, and I see all the work they do to remove rust and repair damaged parts, sometimes making new ones from scratch. Applying JB weld or some form of filler and then wet sanding the parts. These model makers who do the airbrushing and try making planes look like they have been in a dogfight with bullet holes and oil streaks and worn paint on the wings from where the pilot wore it off climbing in and out of the aircraft. Painting on nose art and making that plane look as real as possible. Then there are the HO train buffs who are never actually ever done with their layouts. For these people the 10% isn't ever a thing For the restorer, that final 10% is putting it all back together, so duh, of course they do that. For the model plane buff, the fine details are the whole reason for making the plane in the first place. And for the HO train buff, it is never done. Until next time. I have a whole trunk full of models that I did way back in the day, starting in the early 70s through the mid 80s… I should probably drag someone those out and do an episode on them They were one way that I kept my passion alive for building cars when I didn’t have the opportunity to actually build them.
The finish work has always been the toughest. Seems like there always something else that needs to be taken care of that is more important at the moment.
@@MyKARSShop love your band. My good friend is a guitar teacher. Since I retired I’ve been trying to learn to play. I suck. After I came home from Woodstock. I bought a cheap guitar. We used to go to one of my buddies girl friends house back then. Her older brother had a band. The Measles. He used to show me some chords. One of the guys had left to start another band, The James Gang. But he always came over alot. He gave me some quick lessons. We both went to Kent State college together. But we both quit in 1970. Didn’t end well there. But that was Joe Walsh. And I still suck at playing 🤣

That’s exactly how it works. If you’re having fun, you’ll get it done… Play the music because it comes from your soul… If you appreciate & enjoy it, who cares what anybody else thinks? RAWK!!!
Well, I mean there is that… But on the other hand, I do have 11 more projects besides the one I’m currently working on so… And I’ve got two or three more in the wings that I’m working deals on. 😂😂
