Whenever you use an Italian team, set the scouting parameters to EU National. But that also includes players who have EU second nationalities. As for the other issues you mentioned, Did you check that the players who you sold to make room for Antman, were actually a Non-EU player and didn't have a second nationality? The new British rule they have is a little bit confusing as well. You can sign 1 British player before it counts towards the Non-EU quota, but then it counts them the season after and if you have 3 already, it means you can only sign one more unless you sell one to a team that Italy considers "foreign" which is basically outside of Europe, as is my own interpretation/to be completely sure its foreign. Another way you can gain a Non-EU place is if one of the players gains an EU second nationality, Italian or other. It's an incredibly confusing system but there's ways to keep it simple and never have to worry about that rule. Oh, to make things even more fun, signing a Non-EU player from an Italian club doesn't count towards the quota as they joined from a non-foreign club.

Since this glory hunter series is nearly finished and it’s been really entertaining, how about another one but with the next 5 best leagues? So Portugal Netherlands Belgium turkey scotland? I think this’d be really fun and even more of a challenge to win continental competitions.

6:28 Are you sure Carlos Mosquera was counted as a non-EU player? Did you check the team registration beforehand?
Because I don't see any indication on his scouting profile that he is non-EU. (Except that he is Colombian.) Does he perhaps have a second citizenship?
Yeah cos if say he’s a homegrown player , does it count to the registration or not?
@@tombardsley3081 he would if he hasn’t been in Italy since basically birth. He’d definitely be much closer to being second nation than if he joined at 18. But unless he had a different second nationality that was EU already he wouldn’t count towards it.

For the non EU player, when u sell a player the non EU player slot only opens up when the player is registered as a non eu player for your club. It could be that inter signed that player from another italian team meaning that he didnt pick up a non eu slot

Direct quote from the rules page of the Italian Serie A in FM24:
"Clubs with 3 or more non-EU players (excluding players out on loan) at the END OF THE PREVIOUS SEASON are subject to the following transfer limits:
-Only the first non-EU player signed from abroad, who fulfils the following criteria will be eligible to play for the club this season:
1) The player has played at least five matches for this national team in his career (including Under-21 fixtures if he is Under-21).
2) The player has been called up to the national team at least twice during the last season.
An additional non-EU player signed from abroad will be egible to play for the club this season if one of the following has occurred PRIOR to the signing:
1) A non-EU player is transferred to a foreign club.
2) A non-EU player at the club sees their contract expired/terminated.
3) A non-EU player at the club gains EEA nationality.
Same applies for if you have 2 non-EU players at the end of the previous season with 1 exception. The 2 national team criteria for the first signing don't apply.

Luke, you have my sympathies with the Non-EU rule. I do think it's bugged - in fact I wouldn't be surprised because I've tried managing in the MLS and a number of their various rules are bugged or don't work like they should (as in irl/how written in the game), so I just ignore them and don't rely on that rule being workable 🤦🏻♀️
saw immediately how this had happened. as of this season, British and Swiss players are considered EU players for the purpose of registration, so if this is accurately reflected in-game, selling Mason Mount wouldn't have affected your non-EU player quota. as for Shea Lacey, he's an Irish citizen anyway.
You have to sell a NON-EU player before the transfer for the other player is completed. So, delay, sell a Non-EU player, and then confirm the transfer of the new non-EU player

That's the best north macedonian player I've ever seen
Italy really isnt that hard to understand, you have 1 restricted nonEU slot every season that can only be filled by a player with at least 5 caps or has been part of the last 3 national squads, if you sell a player abroad you get 1 unrestricted slot but since FM is FM you have to sell the player after the season rollover for it to count, now, if you have a player who joined last season but was over the limit he will have priority for the slots, that includes youth intake players which is probably what happened to you
EDIT: only 1 slot can be freed per season

I think it would be more interesting if in the next glory hunter series you don't go to the teams that the other one went to, it will certainly be much more complicated and harder to complete the challenge, but also more interesting. Keep up the good work!
