This is definitely a get in the vibe with some tunes type of project but I appreciate the vid of basically going through your thought process on building it it's nice to see ones like this now and again
Fiddling with links is right up there with building shocks as my least favorite thing to do. Not difficult, but very tedious. Nice work and good progress!
This guy has to be on Sedonas for sure. We are going crazy with this build, arent we? You made me question why the heck I didnt make HC links for my big build (like this guy and Zoidberg). Thats going to be in the 2025 list I guess I hate this ICFTW series. Now I want to build a Tsunami too 😅🤣
That chassis setup as 3 wheel kinda looks cool, 2wd it's the front with a roller in the rear only cause I don't know how you do a motor cycle style power trailer for a single rear wheel
Yes. Every offset Capra axle I've used all have the same geometry and spacing. These are already "isokinetic," or double-universal. I'm interested to see how these do compared to the economical Amazon double-CVDs.
Hey Doc, think I have an explanation for your shortened wheelbase. When you were building it, your pinion angle was horizontal. When they were mounted the angle was tilted and the portals pulled the wheels forward
Could you use the link riser that from Rhino on the front axle to get more triangulation and less binding? I great thing about the Rhino axles is that the rear diff is angled up quite a bit, just for this type of disign (portal box flat, pinion angled up for carrier), are the meus the same?
I could, IIRC the link riser attaches to the SOA mount holes. I think all I need to do is put some offset ends on the upper links so that the link doesn't hit the 3rd member.
Hey Mr. C, do you think the JConcepts Hold would be a good choice for a 4 wheel steer rig? The bar chevron pattern seems like it might be nice for that application, but wondering if you had any thoughts.
As time goes by and I slowly learn how 4WS works, I think you want "directionless" tread, like Ruptures, Rovers, etc. With more directional lugs, when in full 4WS, one end always seems to be outgripping the other. I think even something with a Krawler-esque pattern would be decent, same for most of the Swampers. Hunk likely better than Hold for 4WS, as they're non-directional.
The system flagged a Members video (which I don't monetize anyway) because you could hear about 10 seconds of a Portishead song playing in the background. At low volume.
@CrawlerCanyon jeeze it's rediculous just listening to it it's not like your trying to say you made it that stuff is so dumb I'd never be able to TH-cam full time bc of stupid restrictions like that props to you for being able to do all this and have such entertaining videos to watch bet it's mentally draining AF but we all appreciate it 👍
@@whiskers762 these are the hoops through which we must jump. God help you if you any firearm or political content-- TH-cam might just demonetize your entire catalog if the right (or wrong) person complains.
@@CrawlerCanyon well we appreciate you jumping through those hoops I enjoy every one of your videos I would join the channel to support you further but I don't have the extra funds to do so, so all I got it comments and liked to help your algorithm lol 😂
Loving the tucked! Great progress Mr C it's cool to see how differently we all do the build on the Tsunami chassis ❤
Should name this rig “Teacher” so I can say “I’m hot for Teacher” bc this rig is gonna be 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

Will the double cvd axle shafts fit in those c-hubs ?
Yes. Every offset Capra axle I've used all have the same geometry and spacing. These are already "isokinetic," or double-universal. I'm interested to see how these do compared to the economical Amazon double-CVDs.

I think a little bit of that, and a little bit of changing rod end type mid-stream. I yoinked about 8mm of my wheelbase.
It's a beast
Tsuki Tsunami? Ami Tsunami? JOHNNY TUSNAMI!
29:38 You're gonna use negative springs!?🤯 I mean... At least they aren't for suspension purposes😂
