@@Keepitsharp13 Wow that is a great hit rate. I'm looking into hairdressing shears and clipper blades for my next expansion. How long have you been doing this? Did you get training from wolf industries?
@ as far as this type of sharpening I only have about two years, but I have 10 years in the medical sharpening field and that is where I got most of my training
@@Keepitsharp13 Wow Medical Sharpening. That sounds interesting. Why did you move away from it. Does medical not usually implies more money? What sort of medical things did you sharpen?
@ that industry is going through some crazy changes and they’re trying to push the money down all the time. They also were pushing out all the old guys that know what they’re doing for young guys that will take low pay. It was time to leave.
Good video, I have a question about the TAS. Are you able to sharpen common household scissors on the Ookami gold TAS or is just for salon and barber shears?
@@parts7959 yes you absolutely can. There are two ways. You can do it just the way it sits, but I prefer on common household scissors to switch to the white stone wheel and the lighter colored cotton wheel. You just put them on the same machine so you don’t need a second one or anything
Good advice. Thank you for the share, Im doing knifes at the moment. I like your setup! How many shops do you visit before you get a hit?
@@Riaan1906 that’s a good one I would say 4-6

@ thanks for the reply. Do you prefer the stone wheel for sewing and industrial shears as well?
@ yes I do to keep the other one just for beauty shears
