This song sounds much like a combination of Sugizo's Towa (especially his guitar solo around 5:49) and Luna Sea's Believe in slower tempo. I'm expecting more of their original creativity like the old days.. not recycled materials from their past..
I agree about Towa, I can hear the similarities there, but not with Believe. Anyway, this is bound to happen at some point when you make a lot of music, LUNA SEA isn't immune to that. You say "recycled matrials" as in plural, so I guess there's more than this song you find to be "recycled"? You talk about the old days... those days have passed, LUNA SEA had its peak and that's also when their creativity had its peak, there's no doubt about it. But if they still didn't have the creativity, they wouldn't be making music bc what's the point then? They might be less creative today but they're still going strong. I know it's easy to expect a lot from them bc they're LUNA SEA, but they're a different LUNA SEA today, and that doesn't have to be a negative thing.

このギターの弾き方する人は世界中のギタリストの中でもsugizoさんだけだよな。わざと音のエッジが立ち上がらないようにしてエンベロープ系のエフェクトをかけて、16分でかき鳴らすと減衰の無いシンセサイザーみたいな音になる。こんなの思いつかないよ。マジで衝撃を受けた。さすが亜流の極みのギタリスト。

そこから色々聴いてみた。
なかなかいい。
昔はバンド名で拒絶していたのに
次々にスッと入ってくる。
ギターが格段に巧くなった。
NHKのライブも素晴らしい。
