Fascist architecture was magnificent. Italians respected the colonised people. Long live to Italy and to Eritrea! :)

MVSSO continued the Roman Way of letting the peoples of a prospective province keep their heritage and traditions.
London, for example, was named LVGDVNVM, LONDINIVM and several other variations.
This was the City of the Brithonic god, *Lugh,* so LVGDVNVM naturally is the "City where the God Lugh resides", essentially.
This is but one example of the continuity of PRINCIPLES, for which a modern mutt wouldn't even have the slightest idea of how profound this is, considering Warfare and seige always unfurled as total flooding with the new culture.
GERMANIA, and AFRICA are two other lands which CAESAR named.
I'll leave the meaning up to the hungry to discover.
As an adult, even criticism of my enemies comes after intense reflection. Whether it changes any outcome or not, I grow a greater capacity for all, including insight towards how best to punish them.
An enemy/prospective land, are not congruent.
A "land", a goal, an aspiration, is a completely different phase.
A land of enemies is the ultimate challenge; only for navigation purposes if no intent on securing the land, as with GERMANIA, once upon a time.
CAESAR just built a bridge across the water in under ten days; underwater concrete, and humongous perfectly sunk beams held up a lengthy road for men, horses, and all the PRINCIPLES to cross.
After He said, "look at them running up into the forest. What a shit hole", he and the Legions turned around, crossed the bridge, and destroyed it.
      Because he could.
I believe that was lost on the 'raiders'; the PROFVNDERE of such a cull stick right in the eye.
MVSSO captured the MARE•NOSTRVM; "Our Maria/Mary, full of Grace... Our Mother, Sea..."
... Exactly what borders were held by ancient ROMA.
All the (((ALLIED))) bullshit swept that significant feat aside as if it was like building a log cabin.
      Twice, the Mediterranean was Roman.
Today, it is utilized. It doesn't matter what gayness re-brands it or overshadows the efforts and victories.
No land ever Romanized was worse than before it. Only those who can't accept their contracts, and lie to their own tribe about how much money they receive in trade with the Romans, see a decline and scattering of indigenous origins.
Often, People of all kinds, find the problems lie in their own little cubbyholes. There's always descendante in the ranks.
And look where we are now; bloody Babylon.
Not only did we go CONSCIOUSLY into the darkness for centuries, Italy emerged several times with revelations and revolutions, including the Renaissance.
STILL, greed, and filth sullied any actual _progress,_ as in less of the shit, more of the improvement and lateral mobility.
It's taken thousands of years, for IVDEOREM to subvert, just enough, to taint civilization. And still, will never achieve anything close to a victory, or a foothold bearing ANY resemblance to ROMA.
For all the "academiae" lol out there, with *opinions;* it's always nicer *watching* the TV than building one, or performing as well as the peoples you see on it.
If more people shut up, longer, we would not be maxed out and desensitized/over stimulated by CommvniHyperCapitalism, scrambling like crackheads for that ROCK.

More than 150.000 Eritrean soldiers died fighting for Italy, including my grandpa, (which I believe it was the dummest thing ever), but Eritreans were not even allowed to walk on the city center. Unlike Rome, Italian architects in Asmara were not constrained to particular building codes. Mussolini gave the go-ahead for them to design and build as they pleased. The result was some of the most intriguing Art Deco buildings anywhere.

This is actually the most intelligent comment I have read by far. Eritrea is a wonderful country , Italy has a moral obligation to help preserve their architectural treasures and build their infrastuctures, however Italy is cooperating in developing hospitals ,medical staff and land mine risk education . This is a magnificient country and could become a winter heaven destionation for Europeans, in spite of the sanctions imposed by the US which isolated them.

From 1885-1945, the Italians stayed in Eritrea for 60yrs ONLY, while Eritreans have been & still remain in ASMARA from eternity to eternity.
ASMARA is a lot older than Italians in Africa.
In 60yrs, the Italians may have DESIGNED many buildings & infrastructures.
BUT,,,, THE BUILDINGS WERE BUILT BY ERITREAN BLOOD, LABOR & SWEAT.
Therefore, the BUILDINGS are as much as Eritrean blood, labor & sweat as all other Eritrean buildings.
IMPORTED ENGINEERS & MATERIALS DOES MAKE ASMARA, AN ITALIAN RANCH.

I mention this Italian victory at the Gothic line to put the situation into perspective. From January of that year when the battle took place, the Italian front would remain there until Mussolini's Murder and the Fascist surrender. Russians were in Berlin yet the Italian front remained at the Gothic Line untill the end of the war. Itlalians held there ground and the Allies did not step foot on Italian soil north of Tuscany at any point in the war. Food for thought from a PROUD ITALIAN AMERICAN

Hitler decieved everyone of his intentions including Mussolini who never wanted war with America. Japan attacked China and the U.S. with no warning what so ever. My point is that the element of suprise is a huge factor in war and Mussolin never used that element as he did not believe it to be honorable. He did not believe that a Ceasar would conduct war in such a way. So now that you know this, you should realize Italy was not the weak country you have described in WWII

The Italian 10th Army was defeated by a slighlty smaller British force under montgomery but if that is relevant to your hatred of Italians then it is also worth mentioning that the Italian Army at an early point in the war defeated the British and expelled them from there colony of British Somali Land (present day Somalia). Both the Italian and British Africa Corps were pretty evenly matched and split most battles before Germany and the U.S. intervened on there respective sides.

The down side to the vatican rule is that for years the vatican gave away chunks of italy to foreign kings as rewards for there loyalty. Because of this Italy's people were always abused by foreign rulers that changed frequently. This led to a great distrust of authority which gave rise to the mafia as an institution to defend themselves against injustice. It also held the italian people down as a nation having no cohesive national pride since the roman empire.

Point is Mussolini waged war the Roman way (with honor) he made open challenges. He did not sneak atttack anyone. Unfortunately for him, this did not work to satisfactory effect. Now look at Hitler and Tojo. Every single one of there successful invasions was a sneak attack. Germany Vs France, Britain, Poland, Etc. With Russia Hitler actually not only challenged Stalin but signed a pact with him that there would be no attack and then invaded the following Spring.

  • @educatedman83

with the western allies. When France and Britain politically ganged up on the newly formed country and made threats of war, Mussolini had no choice but to find an ally. Unfortunatley that ally was at the time the most powerful and PREPARED military machine in the world Nazi Germany who was also a political enemy of France and Britain. Hitler promised as Mussolini requested to wait 3 years for war to give Italy time to prepare. He promised and 1 week later invaded poland starting world war 2

italian island of corsica 1 year after the Medici family sold the island to france. British general Duke of Wellington who defeated him at waterloo with a combinded British, Austrian, Prussian (german) force was quoted "Napolean was the greatest General there ever was or will be" I mean the guy single handedly conqured all of europe with an army of Italians and French man handing the most repetitive embarrassing defeats to the british, germans, austrians and russians.

That being said it is ridiculous to compare Native American settlement and or civilization if we are to call it that with the Imperial Roman Empire who's capital city of Rome's population was not equaled in history any where in the world untill Lodon hit the 1.2 million person mark in the mid 1800's which is a hell of a long time to hold the record for largest civilzation.

  • @educatedman83
    @educatedman83 12 ปีที่แล้ว

Rome was not the 1st civilization to exist however(contrary to patriotic ramblings of other Italians on this thread). The 1st civilztion in history was Mesopotamia in present day Iraq/Iran followed by the great Egyptian dynasties with imperial China simultaneouly existing and shortly after Greece and the Persian Empire would pop up.

Automobiles were actually invented in Germany. Americans/Henry Ford invented the assembly line for mass producing them. Native Americans were a tribal people not a civilization. Civilzations requires cities which never existed in pre colonial America. Christopher Colombus was the 1st person from the old world to lay claim to discovering America. Rather or not others found it 1st is debatable.

Under the discription of Karl Benz Native Americans had a civiliaztion but under the common definition of modern scholars and historians the Native Americans were not technically a civilization being that a civilization technically requires cities to be present which there were none in North America before colonial settlement. South and Central America on the ther hand had larges Native Civilizations between the Aztec, Olmec, Maya and Inca peoples.
