As a lot of people mentioned, we walk past Taormina but have never gone in to eat. Maybe now we will thanks to your vlog! BTW, just want to give some props to Felix. I have to say from your early videos until now, he has really "blossomed." Is that the right word? The girls have always been outgoing but Felix seemed a little conservative in the early vlogs. Now, he's on fire!

Aloha Amanda 'Felix and Yvonne!. I live in Mōʻiliʻili, so I am in Waikiki all the time and Taormina is one of my absolutely favorite restaurants. The food, the service everything is exceptional. As a New York City transplant I appreciate a good Italian restaurant (especially one with a Sicilian twist)

Taormina looked bomb! Even though they said it was traditional Sicilian, it seemed like it had a lot of Japanese influences since all of you kept saying how light the fare was…not super heavy. Regardless, the food looked amazing and I will put that on my list the next time we go to Hawaii! Always nice seeing Yvonne..she is always so good with her descriptions and is always funny.

Aloha Amanda & Felix (and Yvonne too). I've walked by this restaurant when I was staying nearby and was always curious about what the food was like, so mahalo for showcasing them in this video. Food looked great, especially the seafood/squid ink pasta and that seafood bruchetta. You asked if we like still or sparkling water, I like sparkling (w/lime). Have you ever tried Il Lupino in the Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center? Was curious about that restaurant as well.

Love ya' Felix, but you gotta up your game fashion-wise. The shirt can use an upgrade. It's a little wrinkly and unless you're sporting a bodybuilder's pec's, you should go another button up. Full disclosure, I've been busted doing the same. If you're going with Aloha shirts, go with a nice island style pattern, otherwise go with a nice, ironed, dress shirt. You gotta keep up with Amanda and Yvonne bruddah! I love the content you two. The days of Christmas vids were awesome. We got a great insight into your home lives. Happy 2022 and be well. Aloha

I can’t wait to visit Taormina Sicilian Cuisine, Ray’s Cafe, Hamada General Store, Jenny’s Shrimp, Kuhio Grille, Aloha Steak House, etc. I do have a request. Since food is an integral part in our lives, can you do a segment on the food locations that have special significance in your lives (e.g. Where you went on your first date; the place that you visit annually; the restaurant that re-kindles your love for each other; a family favorite; etc.). Aloha Amanda and Felix, that Italian restaurant looks awesome and delicious but you have to try the real Italian cuisine in Italy. Jay and I have a favorite restaurant in Trastevere, Rome called Da Enzo and they have all the pastas you want and we especially order Cacio E Pepe. Oh guys it's to die for. Maybe someday when this pandemic is over we can all go to Italy and enjoy a food tour. Great video guys keep up the good work. God Bless.

Just a kind of a funny thing...watching you guys eat the pasta/noodles, it reminded me of my youth and how different cultures eat their noodles...the Asian slurp, the Italian fork roll, there's no wrong way, just all different. But, if you use a fork and a spoon, you're going to get an eye-roll from an Italian. I know, having first moved to Europe, I got plenty of them before I learned the Italian way. 😅

How about sharing the price of the different dishes.
Ate here last night based on this video and it was okay but not top shelf Italian food and certainly not up to the standard of the prices. I get that they are making the food a bit bland for tourists, but it was majorly under-seasoned for Italian food.
Don't drink wine? Man ..you guys come out to Ca and I'll show you some great wineries in the Napa Valley ..and food ..lol ...I have a good friend who does tours

Looks great! To Evon’s al dente comment…when Y and I were in Rome in 2019, man, their pasta was al dente - I personally felt “undercooked”! I feel U.S. al dente is still more cooked and “softer” than the pasta in Rome. All good! All 3 of you looks beautiful!

Growing up in hawaii we never needed to know the difference between distilled, sparkling, alkaline, mineral and whatever water is out there.😂 cause we drink tap growing up...wasn't until we moved to Vegas that I found out the difference and now since I'm trying to stay away from soda I've gotten used to sparkling water. So now I drink Bubly or La Croix sparkling water. I have a hard time drinking water period so this helps me to drink more. When I want that carbonation without all the bad stuff in soda..👍🏽 I didn't like it at first but it takes getting used to. The more you drink it the more you get used to it and with all the different natural flavors they have now it's even better.

I'm not one to make negative comments but one look at the menu and I would have turned around and walked out. I come from a background of frugality and also a strong line of excellent cooks so I could never pay prices like those. I saw the bruschetta appetizer and I will be making that. I never understood the appeal of truffles or uni as they are both unpalatable, imo.
Is there a place or places you guys park in waikiki? its really hard to find parking there, I avoid going there cause of that lol.

sardines is extremely popular in Italian dishes. Simple dish to make at home is a sardine base, garlic and olive oil, mix with pasta and it's so good. I also add pepper flakes cause I like a little kick in my food. Sooo good.

I've been wanting to try Taormina & Appetito. Everything looks so good! When I finally make my way there, I'm getting that sardine pasta. I love anchovies! I'm more of a lunch person. Not into fancy. I think I saw that Taormina's full menu was available for lunch at one point. Must look into it! Thanks for another see-what-you're-missing video!

Oh, I was so interested in the food you guys, I don't even know what I'd order when I go there, so many great choices...I forgot to mention the parking receipt in Felix's shirt pocket. Not a classy move in an upper class restaurant brah. Keep it outa sight. I hate to be a stickler on the details, but I really want you guys to succeed because I really like y'all and your content and if you're putting yourself out there in social media, you need to sweat the details.
