Aesthetically these newer albums are different. But the substance is similar. Record this on a Tascam 8 track and it could have easily been on Loverboy, definitely House Arrest. Gotta break through to the other side man to see the beauty. He's just trying to make a living
Actually pom pom has some litte hints of resemblance with his old work imo. Just listen to Before Today, then Mature Themes and the new one and you'll see! Of course it's not the same, I mean... Artists change and grow up and move on, but pom pom is quite freaky like his super lo fi albums.
